I am 38 and the years are beginning to show, I have been using concealer for many years, but I am now finding myself pulling my skin back to see what I would look like without wrinkles. I don't have huge frown lines or anything, but a few more laughter lines than I would like.

I saw this Age-Transforming concealer in the Avon book and ever the optimist, decided to try it out to see if I could, in the words of Cher 'Turn back time'. I bought the Natural Fair shade which was a little orange for my liking if I am being honest. The product comes in pen form and after twisting the bottom, concealer is pushed through the bristles ready to be brushed onto the needed areas.

The main areas I need to use concealer on, is the dark circles I have under my eyes, I have fine lines round the corners of my eyes and mouth and slightly deeper lines from the edge of my nose to my mouth. I applied this to those areas first and blended. The dark circles under my eyes were not really covered, due to the orange colour that I didn't like I didn't want to apply it too thickly and show this colour off more, but a thin layer was not doing the job. I applied it also round my fine lines and although it covered them, it just looked like I had covered my lines with concealer.

I have tried using this blended with another concealer I have that isn't so orange and it does cover better, my lines are still visible but I am used to that now. I won't buy this again as £9 is very expensive for a product I use with another product just because I don't want to throw it away. I like the fact it contains SPF15 but I would never go outside wearing this so the protection is wasted on me. I am not sure whether mixing it with another colour would dilute the factor anyway.
