“ Brand: Avon / Type: Bronzing Powder / What it does: Bronzes, „
Avon Arabian Glow Bronzing Brick I started using a few months ago after I previously used the bronzing pearls for many years. I needed something with more colour to it not just the bronze colour. So I picked this bronzing brick up from my Avon rep and give it a go!
At first I wasn't sure if I would like the colours or if they would blend well on my face with my skin tone being so light.
To my surprise it worked really well with my light ivory skin tone. This was great because a sun kissed look isn't always about all bronze! I recommended this to my mum, as she likes to have a sun kissed look through the summer too. She ended up buying it too; she likes the fact that you can switch up the tones depending on what the rest of your body is like. If you have tanned it goes great to match the face. If you aren't catching any rays there is also a shade in this that matches that too!
Depending on how you sweep your brush you can really get a lovely colour match that gives you a healthy look. This is the reason I love Avon make up there is so much variety. I got mine from Avon for 7 pounds but anything under that and you have bagged a good deal.
The powder is compressed into a square shape and the different shades are all around the centre of the compact. My compact did not have a mirror but that's not a problem you're paying for the quality of the powder really more than anything.
A tip I can give you is contouring this gives your cheeks bones definition and life, take your brush and gently sweep right around all fore shades in the compact. Dab the excess powder on top of your hand then pout your lips. Sucking in your cheekbones brush in circles onto the cheeks, sides of the forehead and a dash on the chin. Blend well and once the powder is on the face to give an even tone then you have yourself a great look. Do also blend down wards to the neck and slightly on the neck bones to give an even look.
White neck and a different face colour is never a good look!
Pick this up from Avon or online sites and give it a try. I will be buying this one again and it will always be in my purse.
Another great thing about this is it stays on well and doesn't easily get wrecked it has good staying power!
I ordered this shimmer bronzing brick after using the bronzing pearls and multistylo from the same range, and really liking them.
My natural skin is quite pale but in the summertime I really feel I must get a tan as I hate being white when everyone else around me looks much browner, and then I end up looking washed out in comparison.
I think this cost me around £5 although like with all Avon products if you are going to buy something then my advice is to look out for when this is on offer, because Avon do loads of good deals and you'd only be missing out otherwise.
This came packaged, like with most of the Arabian Glow range, in a bronze sort of coloured cardboard box, which was just big enough to fit this in. I thought it was good that there was no excess packaging although the box itself wasn't that special I suppose it looked alright though. I like the idea that it comes in a box, like a present.
This is really easy to use. You can put it all over your face or just where you want it, like on your cheeks and forehead. You should use a brush to put this on. I use the Avon angled brush to put it on and find it works really well. This gives a lovely glow although it doesn't last a whole day.
I recommend this because it looks really nice on me when I'm wearing it, and I always feel lovely and tanned. At first I worried it might come out uneven, because of the triangles being different colours, but as long as you brush the brush over all of them they all blend in gorgeously together and it creates a really great look.
