      Great liquid eyeliner, buyy!

a girl can never have too many eyeliners, or make up for that matter, so once again when the Avon lady called, i ended up with a liquid eyeliner
I have to admit im not surh a big fan of liquid eyeliners, i find them hard to apply and difficult to get off but when i saw this in the Avon sale i thought id give it a go
It was £2 when i brought it in the sale and it immediately stood out, as instead of using a brush to apply it its a pen which i thought i might get on with
When i came, and i applied it the first time it was awful - alot of skill and practice is needed! now, after about 3 months of using it, i apply it most days and hardly ever get it in the worng place
It gives a smooth line as it is a liquid and its not runny but the perfect consistency to just sit there until it drys
The only problem i have come across is if you try to apply it again in a few hours it looks wrong and you have to take it all off and put it all back on again
I brought the sea green colour (although now i also have the sky blue) as i like green make up, and the collour is quite dark, and a very very dark green
When they named it arabian glow they werent lying, it does give definition to your eyes and used in conjunction with other "arabian glow" producs it would give you a lovely healthy glow to your face

Gorgeous Liquid Eyeliner In Colours I Would Never Have Thought Of Wearing Before

I usually wear black eyeliner but when my cousin gave me a big box of Avon stuff when she gave her round up there was a set of 4 Sleek Lines eyeliners that belong to the Arabian Glow range.

The liquid eyeliner comes in a little bottle now with a twist off lid that doubles off as the brush and I think that's better than the pen that Dooyoo have got pictured because the handle of the brush is comfortable to hold and get a good grip on. All of the eyeliners go on smooth and it's easy to get a neat line around my lashes, it gives me a pricise line but if you're quick with a sponge applicator you can smudge it before it dries for a smokier look. It dries dead quick though so you'll have to practise before you can get both eyes to match before it's too dry to smudge!

I love the colours because they are all so bright and a complete change from black. They look summery but in a sultry and exotic way rather than being neutral and pale like a lot of summer cosmetics this year. The colour lasts a long time as well and doesn't start fading for hours after you've first put it on, the other day I put it on at 9am and didn't get home until gone 6 and it still looked brill and fresh even though it looked a bit weird because by then my crappy eyeshadow had all disappeared and I just had a strong turquoise line over my eyelashes!

It's easy to take off as well and I just used my normal eye make up remover and a cotton bud and it only took one swipe of each eye to get all the colour off. Because the colours are so strong you have to watch what eyeshadow you use with them but once you suss it out you'll be able to get them blended nice together. I don't think the colours would suit women with very pale skin but they especially suit dark skin tones, my mate is from Somalia and is very dark and the turquoise Sleek Lines eyeliner looks stunning on her.

The eyeliners all work the same so it just depends what colour you fancy wearing that day. The colours are:-

        TURQUOISE GLAZE

This is a bright glimmery aqua colour that looks wicked with a blend of pale pink and dusky brown eyeshadow, I know that sounds like a weird look but if you get the right shades they all look wicked together.

        MELTED BRONZE

This is a lovely bronze shade that is very metallic looking at first but this fades down to a burnished shade that is still a bit shimmery in the sunlight.

        GOLD VAPOUR

THis was the most awkward for me because I couldn't find an eyeshadow that went good with it. I used it on it's own when I was in the house and loved the golden colour but it's such an unusual gold that it's proper hard to get an eyeshadow to match it.

        PURPLE LUSTRE

A deep purple eyeliner the looks cool with a paler purple or lilac eyeshadow. It's lovely and shimmery and the shine doesn't fade over the day so a good one for nights out I reckon. The same friend of mine who looks so beautiful in the turquoise eyeliner also suits this one wicked but she won't wear it because she thinks it looks too 80's on her dark skin, I think it looks brill though and loads better than it suits me!

Great smudge proof eyeliner in some wicked shades

As an avon devotee one of the best items I can recommend are the arabian glow sleek lines eye liners.

The eyeliner comes in a small pot with a shaped long handle with the brush attached. I find the handle to be one of the most comfortable for application and you can get a really steady grip so the lines are straighter. Inside the neck of the bottle is some padding that you can wipe the excess eye liner off with to prevent unsightly clumps or extra thick lines. The brush is firm but directable and you can get enough eye liner on to the brush to do the entire lid in one go.

I've never had any problems with smudging so in my opinion the smudge proof claim is correct and it definitely wears for a long time. I have never worn them all day though only on nights out with the girls and it withstands the hot atmosphere of clubs well!

There are four shades available at the moment: turquoise glaze, gold vapour, purple luster and melted bronze. I love the turquoise shade for a really striking eye colour and the gold vapour which is right on point with this seasons gold eye make up look.

They cost £6 from your avon catalogue (from an avon representative) but I think you can buy online now at avon.co.uk but I haven't tried because my avon lady is lovely and I wouldn't want to miss my regular chat :-)

You can contact avon to ask about your nearest representative if you're not keen on buying online.

            Disadvantages

            .

I don't tend to wear a lot of eyeliner, but I bought one of the Arabian Glow eyeliners from Avon in a totally different colour that I normally wear, which is black and I found it to be quite good.

The eyeliners come in 4 different colours

            Turquoise Glaze
            Gold vapour
            Purple Luster
            Menlted bronze

On the packaging they look really bold and bright, but they aren't as scary as they look. I tried the Turquoise one and I is like a sea green colour.

The packaging used to be wha is shown on the picture on this review, but now it is different. it is like a little pot with the eyeliner stick screwed into the top of it. It is a see through pot, so you can see the colour through it and also see how much you have used of it, There is a wrap around label on the pot which just says Avon Sleek Lines Arabian Glow in white writing.

It took a few attempts for me to apply this ok, as I found the stick quite awkward to use at first. The eyeliner goes on quite wet, and is easy enough to wipe off while it is wet. A steady hnd is a must for this, and you could apply this twice if needed, but once gioves a good colour.

This normally costs £6, but I got it for £4 in the last book, which is an alright price. the Arabian Glow range covers a few other products and most of them are quite bright colours, so maybe not for everyone's taste.

            A colourful range.

              Advantages

              Disadvantages

              Overall a great purchase.

These Arabian glow liquid eyeliners are gorgeous and are definitely one of my best make up buys.

I remember when I saw these for the first time in an Avon catalogue when I was a rep. As soon as I seen the pictures of them on the model I loved them. The colours are so bright and unique and exactly to my taste. I didn't expect them to be as nice as they were as often you see picture of models with make up on and when they come they never look as good as they do in the picture. But I have to say these looked just as good and clear. When I brought them I got them for a discount rate from the booklet that you get for being a rep but they normally sell for £5.00 each but at the moment there priced at £3.50 what a bargain.

The eyeliner is in a gold cylinder on the outside of it in a different shade of gold it says the colour. Each shade has the same gold cylinder so make sure before you go out you check you have the right colour with you. To apply the eyeliner you just have to shake the bottle then draw on your eyelid exactly where you want the eyeliner to appear. I love the eyeliner as I find it so simple to put on and I'm not normally a fan of putting on liquid eyeliner but I'm fine with this one. I find it is similar to a pen so is easy to put on and the end tip is quite thin so you don't end up with a really thick line. I also find that it doesn't smudge easily which is another bonus. I always wear mine when I go out clubbing and I get home and it looks the same as when I started the night. This is a good thing as some eyeliners I have brought rub off and fade during the night.

The eyeliner comes in three colours which are gold, sky blue and sea green. The sky blue and sea green are a bit darker then I thought but are still bright and the gold is very light but is perfect. I have all three of them I brought the sea green one first and seen how good it was so I couldn't resist buying the others. There is also eye shadow stix that you can get that are the same colours so you can mix and match the eyeliner with the eye shadow colours. I found that when these first came out they were really popular as nearly all my friends and Avon customers ordered them from me. I think that these will be very popular again with the summer on the way as they help brighten up your make up and go perfect with summery outfits.

I definitely recommend you buy these great eyeliners.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

                great overall product.

I love most eyeliners, but when i saw this one in the Avon brochure, i jsut had to have it, not just because it was an eyeliner, but because of the fabulous colour too.

So what is it then? This is a liquid eyeliner, which has a really smooth tip on the end that kind of looks like a felt tip that you would give to a child to draw with. The container is gold in colour that has the name of the product on the front, not the most exciting thing in the world but it does the job that it was made for.

                -----The tip-----
As i already mentioned, the tip of the eyeliner is a really like a felt tip pen, which is really good as this allows you to have a nice thin line, or if you wish then you can make the lines thicker.

                -----Ease of application-----
I have found that this is really easy to use and it also comes off easily too. All you have to do to use this is to uncrew the top and then turn the eyeliner upside down, give it a little shake and then start 'drawing' on the desired area of your eye.

                -----Good points-----
I love the colour that i purchased, this was a really bright blue, called sky blue, the colour is very vibrant, and as i mentioned really easy to use. I find that with alot of liquid eyeliners they are really hard to remove but i have found that with just a make-up wipe this comes off with ease, yet if you get caught in the rain you dont look like you have been drowned with this all the way down your face.

                -----Bad points-----
The only bad point that i found with this eyeliner was that, when i had it in my bag, which i sometimes do this when i cant be bothered doing my make-up in the morning at 6am, it tends to leak. It doesnt seem to make its way out of the screw-on top, but it does however collect in the top, which can be a bit messy.

                -----Price and colours available-----
When i purchased this i got it on the offer price for roughly £3.00, but the normal price is £5.00 and this comes in 3 colours, gold, sky blue and sea green. All of these colours look really nice in the brochure, but the only one that i can really comment on is the one that i have and its the Sky blue one.

Over all i would say that i would definitly buy this again, even at £5.00 this is a great price, and i would be pleased to give Avon my money for this.

                Advantages

                Disadvantages

                Excellent stuff

I was thrilled when one of my closest friends started to do some Avon rep-ing. I'd always quite fancied the idea of Avon - reasonably priced cosmetics, delivered to you by a lovely Avon lady, so it was with a fair amount of excitement that I made my first order. The main draw for me was that I could now order make-up and actually be helping out my friend at the same time - a great excuse if ever I heard one.

Amongst my first purchases was one of these liquid eyeliners. Being beyond rubbish with brush-based liquid eyeliners (seriously, how on earth am I meant to get a decent result with those?!), I was pleased that these were an almost foolproof felt-tip design. The first colour I ordered (yes, I now have all three) was the blue. I still think this is the best of the three colours, as it is nice and vibrant.

The eyeliner is really easy to apply - simply give it a quick shake, take off the lid and draw on a sweep of colour. It goes on really easily, being a felt tip. The line drawn is smooth and defined. It goes on over eyeshadow or foundation without any problems. On occasion it does seem to "run out" while you are lining your eyes - this can be overcome by giving it another little shake, or turning it upside down so that the liquid has another chance to soak into the felt tip.

Once applied, the eyeliner looks great and it will stay put for hours. It does need touching up if you rub your eyes or they water, but it doesn't claim to be rub- or waterproof, so I'm not too bothered about this.

As I said earlier, this eyeliner comes in three different colours: Sky Blue (my favourite), Sea Green and Gold. The Gold is a very subtle colour - probably one for wearing on its own. Worn with a gold eyeshadow it can disappear. The Sea Green is a lot darker than I expected from the brochure, but it is a nice change from black when I'm after a softer look. It compliments more earthy make-up really well. The Sky Blue is a great colour - it's a nice vibrant, almost like a light electric blue. It goes really well with my blue eyes.

These are very similar to the Avon Perfect Wear eyeliner, only different colour versions of it. I'm more of a fan of these though, if only because it is really hard to find good liquid eyeliner in such good colours. I only hope they bring out more of them!

These eyeliners are £5 each, but as seems to be the case most of the time with Avon, they are usually on offer. I got two of them on different "two items from this page for £8" offers, and one of them free with another purchase. For this price, I think these are great products, and I will definitely be buying more, even if I only go for the Sky Blue next time.
