The one thing when I'm reading reviews on this site that always strikes me about us ladies is that we all purchase so many mascara's and find it's the one item really hard to get right. When someone writes a positive review about one it's like halleuheau finally I'm never buying anything different to this one again lol Me, I'm the same. I buy loads and loads and one of the things I do is buy cheap ones cos I think it's going to be rubbish anyway and of course it is but then I'd rather buy one for £2.00 and it be 'crap in a tube' than buy one for a tenner and it let me down. However if I bought one for a tenner it probably would be better so I'm in a vicious ... Read the complete review

I've tried loads of different mascaras from Avon but this one is my fave because it gives me a good look and does make my eyelashes look longer, even if it's not astonishingly longer! It only comes in black at the minute but I'm not bothered about that because I mostly use black mascara anyway because I love to create a thick and gothy look sometimes. The mascara goes on smooth and doesn't clump as I'm applying it and the brush is just the right size for me to be able to apply the mascara easily and tidily. I think the best way to use this mascara is to apply the first coat then leave it to dry for at least 5 minutes before applying the second and carry on ... Read the complete review

Any regular readers of my dooyoo reviews will be aware by now that I work part-time as an Avon representative when my poor health allows. This means that I have access to a lot of great offers and new products that are available from Avon. I did make a conscious decision recently, to update my make-up bag - some of it anyway - and this decision made me sit up and take notice when a recent Avon brochure was running a great offer on some of the cosmetics and make-up items. The offer was an "Any two items for £10" kind of deal, and given that some of the items cost around £8 each or so, I recognised immediately that this was a good opportunity to ... Like a lot of girls I know, mascara is one of the most important things in my make-up collection. Get the right mascara and your eyes can be instantly transformed from tiny little slits to huge, wide-open, fluttering things of beauty. Having already found the mascara of my dreams (which I really need to put in a product suggestion for!), I wasn't too bothered about this being a free gift from Avon when I ordered a shedload of eyeshadow. Never one to turn down a freebie, though, I still ordered it. Astonishing Lengths Mascara comes in a black tube, with the product name on the side. It has a shaped tip, which curves to a flattened point. It's fairly attractive ... Read the complete review

I don't think I will ever be graced with particularly great eyelashes and certainly not great enough to bat my eyelashes in the hope of getting my own way like my rather lucky sister does. Due to my incompetent lashes, I am a Mascara addict, I've tried rehab but left after a day when I decided I looked asleep if I didn't have any mascara onand I've even accused my husband of stealing my mascara when in fact, it had run out and I couldn't be bother to go and buy another, so I sent him to do it. Anyway, as you will have gathered, mascara is an essential for me, I like to try new ones and I always make sure I have one in my bag and one at home, you know, just in ... Read the complete review
