Advantages: Very cheap, compact, nice design, not a strong smelling balm

Disadvantages: Feels a bit too thick sometimes

I got this lipbalm since it's only £1 to buy, and Rich Moisture seemed like the best option to stop my lips getting too dry. I didn't want something that would add colour to my lips, just something simple I could apply when I needed without the hassle of needing a mirror. There's also Vita Nourish and I've used both but I'm really no good at telling the difference between them.

It's bascially in a twist tube about the size of a normal lipbalm. It's light blue in colour with a darker blue clear lid that just slides on top, securely. The twisty bit (not sure what it's reallly called!) is small and located at the bottom of the tube, and just looks like a small rim on the bottom. The Avon Care range logo is below the lid, and the Rich Moisture leaf logo below it. The design has changed bit recently with the plastic coating covering most of the lid as well as the tube. To open it you just need to twist the lid a bit to break this coating which stays in place.

The colour of the balm itself is a sort of milky white colour, and there isn't much of a smell from it. The smell, if any, is very gentle and doesn't smell medicated or fragranced. It does go on clear despite its colour and leaves a nice gentle gloss. It's got quite a creamy, thick texture that lasts on your lips although it does feel a bit too thick. Apart from that, I can't see any disadvantages with this lipbalm. Anyway, since it's thick all you need is one coat. If you apply more than that then it does get a bit too thick. It's small enough to carry around with you so you can re-apply it when needed. It does last though, only coming off if you eat or drink while wearing it. Since it's clear you also don't need a mirror to re-apply it. All you need to do is slap it on!

The best thing for me is that my skin is sensitive and I really have to watch what I put on it, especially my face which can become inflamed easily. I have never had any problems with this lipbalm though, so I can recommend it to anyone even if you do have sensitive skin like me.

It protects your lips well and if it does come off through eating or drinking your lips are left feeling nice and soft afterwards. This lipbalm only costs about £1 from Avon so you could easily try both this Rich Moisture and the Vita Nourish version. If you really don't like it, Avon will just give you a refund. It costs a lot less than most lipbalms, which seem to sell at around £4 and more. That could buy you plenty of these!

Summary: Value for money - nice texture and it lasts
