I was scouring the Avon catalogue recently looking for some eyeshadows for the winter months. I was after some shimmery natural colours for my forthcoming nights out over the Christmas period.

I was drawn to the Colour Trend range in the Avon catalogue as this range is their cheapest range of make-up products in their book. I noticed they had their Colour Trend Pretty Eyes Case on offer.

Generally this pretty little set will cost just £2.99, which is great value for money. You also quite often find the Colour Trend products on offer where you can buy 3 of their products for £5.00.

The product itself is a small black rectangular plastic case with a clear plastic lid. The eyeshadow set contains 4 different colour eyeshadows. The eyeshadows in the set are quite shimmery looking and are perfect for nights out, though because they are neutral colours you could easily get away with using them in the day too.

They do two different colour sets. This one is called their 'bashful browns' set. It contains a dark brown colour, a rose colour, a gold colour and a white/cream colour. There is a separate pull-out compartment within the set where you have an eyeshadow application with white sponge head. The eyeshadows are applied really easily and take no effort at all. They are not the powder type eyeshadows, they are more of a cream style.

The second set that Avon do is a mixture of purples and creams, which is also really nice too.

This set is a real gem of a buy in my opinion. It is cheap and provides you with a really sparkling set of eyeshadows which can be used for all occassions. They create a natural look with that bit of sparkle and glamour and don't look cheap at all. The colour lasts for a good few hours without wearing away and considering the colours are of a cream effect they don't smudge either.

I'm not a huge fan of the Color Trend range in general as I believe some of their products can be a bit too cheap and tacky looking and don't last long when applied, however this is the best product by far in their range in my opinion.

All in all for the price you pay this is a real beauty bargain in my opinion. For the price of £2.99 you get four fabulous colours, all of which are really pretty and useable. The set is small enough to keep in your handbag too. For me you can't beat this and I wouldn't hesitate to use this again. A highly recommended product.
