Some of you will be noticing I am on a bit of an Avon kick lately. Part of the reason for this is because I am absolutely an Avon convert. Besides this, I may be prompted slightly out of guilt for all the nasty thoughts I ever had about Avon.

For the record, I admit I was wrong. So far, Avon has proven to me just why it has been around for so long and I will carry the flag high above my head in support of this great, great company.

***What I love about Daring Definition Mousse***

*Plumps them out*
If you have read my Avon Mousse foundation review you will know I am not blessed with great skin. I am however lucky enough to have relatively long dark eyelashes. An ex-girlfriend of my brothers' chased me around our back yard when I was ten with a tube of mascara and a pair of tweezers, desperate to extract a lash for measuring purposes (1.75 cm). However, my lashes are more like spider legs in that I don't have a lot of them meaning they look quite sparse and the effect of having long lashes is somewhat lost.

What is difficult is finding a mascara that tackles this problem without being clumpy. This mascara does exactly that giving me a curtain of dark lashes instead of three or four lonely strands waving at you.

*Lightweight*
I know people are going to call me names, but having long lashes can be a curse sometimes. Often, by the end of the day, the roots of my lashes hurt from being weighed down by my mascara. Avon Definition Mousse Mascara is extremely lightweight and feels no different by the end of the day than when I put it on in the morning at the ungodly hour of 05:30.

*Water/Smudge Proof*
One of my weaknesses is I am a crier. Always have been and always will be. I am no longer allowed to watch the Heffalump movie because I cried so uncontrollably it freaked my son out. Keeping this in mind, I am sure you can appreciate the importance of a waterproof mascara. Waterproof mascara is hardly difficult to find these days but there is a difference between this and other brands. Usually the price I pay for not finding my makeup running down my face is flaky black specs like dandruff all over my cheeks. No more. This goes on smoothly leaving no flaky mess to contend with at all.

*No clumps*
I was afraid that being another Mousse product I might find it sat on my lashes like snow on a fir tree branch but it glided on effortlessly leaving an even coating that I didn't have to pick at after application - amazing!

*Cost*
£7 is about £5 less than I normally pay for mascara so I was extremely happy with the price. I was even happier to find out it came with a freebie - a liquid eyeliner in my choice of colour. Now, I have never used liquid eyeliner and tend to think of it as an early 90's trend which never should have happened but I was pleasantly surprised and use it regularly.

*Hypo-allergenic*
I have sensitive eyes and can't use anything that isn't hypo-allergenic. Having said that, I think it is probably harder to find a product that isn't hypo-allergenic these days.

***What I didn't like***
It's wonderful to have a water/smudge proof mascara, but it would be nicer if I could get it off at night without having to borrow my neighbour's sand-blaster each night!

***Conclusion***
For fabulous lashes give the mousse a go!

Summary: A revolutionary mascara for those of us in need of a bit of plumping up

This stuff is great. I buy eye makeup remover to get it off and it also moisturises the eye area.
