Any regular readers of my reviews will be aware by now that I work as an Avon representative when my ill health allows. This means that I have great access to a lot of the fantastic bargains and offers that are available in the Avon brochures. I really like using Avon's range of make up and cosmetics and obviously because I work as a rep it means I have plenty of opportunity to take advantage of new products and the like. I have recently been trying to update my make-up bag with some new products so have been buying quite a lot in terms of make-up from Avon. One of the items I bought recently was the Avon foundation brush. The normal price for ... Read the complete review

When it comes to the purchase of make up brushes, well I'm really very fussy about what I buy. I feel as a trained Beauty Therapist your only as good as the tools you use. I mean a painter and decorator rarely does a nice job with cheap paint brushes after-all! So I own a set of Ruby & Millie, Chilli Pepper and Jemma Kidd brushes all which set me back a small fortune, However I look after them well and they serve me well in return. I'm one of those people that throws out applicators and things that come with sets and prefer my own choices! However in Avon there was a cosmetic bag that I really wanted. I do carry one around with me in my handbag ... Read the complete review

Avon's foundation brush is one of the most innovative and useful products to come onto the beauty market in the last few years, in my opinion! At first it does seem a bit weird to think to use a brush when you apply foundation, but once you have used one of these brushes you won't go back. Shaped similarly to a blusher brush but with a flat edge, the bristles have a special coating on them which ensures that your foundation doesn't get absorbed into the brush but instead gets evenly distributed onto your skin. Using this brush also means you save a lot of money on foundation as you use a lot less, unlike a sponge which just sucks the foundation into it. It also gives ... Read the complete review

Avon have only recently introduced this style of foundation brush and I have been really pleased with the results. Previously I was applying my powder foundation with the puff that comes in the compact however I frequently do not think to take it out and wash it as I should do. Having this brush sat on my dresser encourages me to remember to clean it regularly and helps to stop me from covering my face with dirt and bacteria that builds up on make up applicators over time. Ideally this brush should be washed with a mild shampoo once a week to keep it in top condition. The other reason I switched to using this brush was because I found that often ... I wear make up quite a lot even if it is just to look good about the house lol I have had trouble in the past with blending my foundation properly so that it sinks into my skin and gives a natural look without leaving that tell tale make up line around my jawline! I used to put foundation on my face and blend it into my skin using just my fingers. I found that this worked ok but didnt give a really even consistent finish to my make up that i would have liked. I found Avons foundation brush when i was on the website a few months ago (i buy a lot of Avon products!) and decided to give it a go. Some brand name brushes can cost up to £40 in ...
