“ Brand: Avon / Type: Lipgloss / Suitable for: Lip „
I really like to use lipglosses and lipsticks but always find myself torn between the two. Lipsticks give a great strong colour which lasts, but tend to be quite dry. Lipglosses on the other hand are really moisturising on your lips and feel lovely but the colour and lasting quality isn't as great. This lip gloss by Avon has all the usual benefits of a lip gloss with the added bonus of quite an intense colour. It is still a little lacking in its lasting power, but I suppose you can't have everything!
The product comes in a range of colours and they have a nice noticeable colour. They look good quality on the lips, but does need reapplying fairly often. One tip I would give us to a wear a lipstick underneath - it definitely lasts longer for me that way.
The lip gloss has a really nice consistency and feel on the lips. I have found that some other lip glosses can feel quite sticky which I find really distracting and pleasant. This one however isn't sticky at all and feels really silky and moisturising on your lips.
The product is typically on sale for £6, which is quite a good price I think. There are probably better value products on the market as I go through mine quite quickly so have to buy it fairly regularly. I think it's worth the money though as it feels such a good quality and the colour is so pretty. Would recommend!
Avon Shine Glazewear Lip Gloss.
Shrink wrapped tube.
Has a black cap with silver ring around centre - the tube containing the gloss is clear.
Has screw off lid.
Has white wand with sponge applicator.
Made in Poland, 6 mls.
£6 full price, but sometimes on offer. Currently selling for £2.50.
I bought the Rose Reflections gloss as I tend to prefer the brighter pink shades.
Avon state 'Let your lips shine with incredible dazzle. Glides on smooth and is ultra comfortable to wear. Non-sticky'.
The pink colour in the tube looks a good deep shade of sort of old rose. However when it is applied it has hardly any colour to it.
Avon state that this give a good shine, sorry but I find it not at all good. Also they state that it is non-sticky, but the feel to me is quite tacky and gloopy.
It also makes my lips feel tacky and sort of greasy - not a good feeling. Personally I would say it does not look any better than just putting a layer of Vaseline on your lips, and feels just about the same. If you wanted a good colour on your lips you would need to use a lipstick first.
Personally I do not think that this gloss is worth £6 and I do not really like it at all and would not want to use it again.
The colour selection looks good on paper but I do not think the other shades would fare any better than the one I purchased.
This will be returned to Avon as I would much prefer to just use a lipstick or to put a layer of Avon Care lip treatment on top which has a much nicer feel to it.
===Would I Recommend?===
My mother is an Avon representative and she gave me this Avon glazewear extreme shine lipgloss randomly a while back.
I am not really a massive lipgloss fan as I tend to find that the minute I step out of the house on a breezy day my hair sticks to it and either my hair or lipgloss therefore, gets ruined.
~ Price and availability ~
This lipgloss is available online at www.avonshop.co.uk or you can order it from the Avon brochure through your local Avon representative (if you have one).
It is currently priced at £2.99 reduced from £6.00 and is available in 5 different shades! Avon make-up always seems to have some sort of offer on it.
~ Packaging ~
The lipgloss comes in a 6ml tube which narrows at both ends. The lipgloss is visible through the clear plastic tube and it is a bright pink shimmery colour. The end of the tube has a tiny white sticker on telling you that this shade is called 'pink watermelon'.
The lid is made from black plastic and it is unscrewed to reveal the wand with a sponge tip applicator.
~ Product ~
The actual gloss is bright pink with a shimmery sparkle to it. In my opinion the colour does not look as bright on your lips and it certainly isn't over the top. The shimmer is slight and is not glittery!
It looks glossy as well as shimmery, but it does not feel tacky or sticky. I'd say it feels almost watery on my lips and quite moisturising.
It looks really nice on. It is not the thickest gloss that I have used so it doesn't look overdone or unnatural.
The lipgloss is smudged fairly easily, like I find with most lipglosses and it does need to be reapplied after eating and drinking.
I do like this lipgloss. Although it has its flaws, I don't think it is any worse than other lipglosses I have tried and since I got this lipgloss I have bought a few more from Avon's glazewear range.
~ Overall ~
Overall, I like this lipgloss and although I'm not a massive lipgloss fan this has quickly become one of my favourites. It does not feel sticky. It looks shimmery and pretty with a light, not thick, gloss. It does need topped up regularly, but for me all lipglosses do. I think it is reasonably priced and would definitely buy it again if mine ran out.
I don't wear a lot of make up myself but thesedays I am trying to wear a little more. I do wear Mascara every day and instead of wearing Lipstick I prefer to wear Lipgloss so that I get a hint of a colour and hopefully a nice sheen on my lips. I don't go for too colourful glosses either. I guess my make up style is more a natural look.
I have tried and used quite a few in the Avon book. I would say 1 that I do use quite a bit is the Plump Pout range but I do like the little tingle from that and the slight Cinnamon taste but enough about that one.
I had seen the Glazewear range in the Avon book for a while before I bought it. Even with the branding of extreme shine you would have thought that I would have bought this one quite sharp but I didn't for some reason. I think the right price of this is around £6 but I got this when it was on offer for £3. I think this can often be found around £4. The good thing about Avon is that there is always so many offers on, basically evey 2nd book you can find a product on offer when it was full price before.
This comes packaged like how it looks above. Just a simple plastic thing where you unscrew the lid off and the applicator is attatched to the lid. You can see the colour through the plastic as well. This comes in a few different colours so there should be a shade for everyone. I would say th shades that are in the Avon book are quite close to the shades of the products.
This is easy to apply. The Applicator is a sponge one and easy enough for this to glide on your Lips. The gloss does seem to be quite thick but you can smear this over your Lips and it doesn't feel quite so sticky. I hate overly stick Glosses and numerous times I will go out in the Scottish weather and next thing I know my Hair is stuck to the gloss, then it ends up over my face and everything. This does seem to dry a bit so not too sticky in the end. Not really a taste to this, perhaps a slight plastic-y kind of taste but that's it. Not too bad I guess.
I didn't find this to be a great gloss for me. It looks nice enough when it is on. The colour is a nice hint of colour and the shine was nice, but I just felt that this was a little greasy and I was all for wiping this off my Lips as it was annoying me a little. I will stick to other brands from Avon I am afraid.
Alright, but not for me and there is better ones than this in the Avon book.
Review of Avon Glazewear Extreme Shine Lip Gloss
I am sure lip glosses in general need no introduction from me! I like to use them on days when I am not wearing make-up, just to give my lips a little colour and shine. I generally buy my lip glosses from makers such as Rimmel or Boots, however when I spotted a special deal in an Avon brochure I decided to give their lip gloss a try. The current brochure price for these is around £6, but mine actually worked out at around £3.33, thanks to a buy 3 selected products for £10 offer.
**The Lip Gloss**
Presented in a clear tube with a black screw cap, the packaging of this is not particularly outstanding. The tube bears the company logo, the product name and that is about it. A tiny paper disc adhered to the flat base of the tube carries other information such as the shade, but this is miniscule and I doubt many people would even bother to read it.
The spongy applicator is attached to the lid and it is nicely sculpted in shape for easy and precise application. The applicator is very good, but I have found that the wand part becomes rather 'gloopy' and clogged with the lip gloss fairly quickly. This isn't a major issue as it can easily be wiped or washed off under the tap for hygiene purposes.
I like the fact that the lip gloss tube is clear as you can see just how much of the product you have left. The appearance of the lip gloss within the tube is good, the gloss has shimmery particles these reflect the light as you turn the tube.
The colour range seems to have diminished since I purchased mine a couple of months ago and currently Avon offer around 6 shades. The shade I am reviewing is 'Brown Sugar', a warm golden brown. The colour is lovely and I feel it suits me very well. I have rather weird colouring thanks to my Father's mixed race background and although I have fairish hair and pale eyes, I have an olive complexion which deepens as soon as I see the sun. Consequently I find I need very different cosmetic colours in the summer months to other times of the year and this is ideal for me at this time of year.
Avon do not seem to be offering this colour at the moment, the shades available from their website when I checked today are mainly pinks, nudes and a pale red, perhaps they vary the shades with the season?
This is not sold as a moisturising lip gloss and I have not noticed any particular moisturising qualities in wear.
This lip gloss can be purchased either from an Avon representative or from the company website, www. http://avonshop.co.uk
**My Thoughts and Conclusion**
The Avon Glazewear Shine lip gloss in 'Brown Sugar' is definitely just right for me, but I am less than satisfied with the product.
I have several issues with this lip gloss, firstly, it smells strange! It has an odd aroma, it is not a very pleasant smell, it is rather hard to put into words but it smells slightly rancid to me.
My second issue is the staying power, the colour seems to linger quite well, but the gloss aspect of the lip gloss wears off very quickly indeed and to retain a glossy finish I need to top this up at regular intervals.
My final problem is the actual feel of the lip gloss on the lips, it is quite horrible, it feels heavy, greasy and sticky, most unpleasant in fact.
I appreciate that these issues may be down to my personal expectation and other consumers experience may differ, but I feel had I paid full price for this lip gloss it would have been sent back. In light of this I know I won't be buying this product again and I would not recommend it to others.
I am awarding this a 2* rating, the colour is good, it is simply the staying power, texture and smell that let it down in my opinion.

=== Glazewear Shine Lipgloss ===
I bought this a while ago and came across it whilst sorting out my dressing table a few dys ago. I have a light yet bright pink coloured gloss but I am unsure of the actual name of the shade.
I am a massive make-up fan and I don't tend to stick to any brand in particular but I do often revert back to Avon products simply for the convinience of the rep dropping the order off to my home.
I remember buying this gloss and can remember waiting about 3 campaigns for the price to go down. It was worth the wait though as I got it for £1.50 for a 6ml tube of gloss rather than it's usual RRP of £6.
This gloss comes in a long thin tube, the bottom half being clear which allows you to see the glass through the tube, the gloss looks somewhat sparkly and the colour is gorgeous.
Upon undoing the lid and pulling upwards I can see that the applicator wand is firmly attached to the lid, the tip of the applicator is slightly spongy and holds just the right amount of gloss to slick onto your lips.
Applying it to my lips, I am met with a delicious sweet scent, very much like Palma Violet sweets, so I already feel we are off to a great start!
On my lips it feels smooth and silky and looking in the mirror I can see that my lips have taken on a slight pink hue and a brilliantly shiny.
It does transfer easily from your lips onto a glass for example, so it does need re-applying.
However, you don't ned much of this product for it to work. Just one dip of the wand holds enough gloss to cover your lips to perfection.
I really like everything about this gloss and would highly recommend it.
I have always liked flicking through the AVON booklet that gets delivered through the door, and so last Christmas time when I saw this product on offer I decided to treat myself.
The lip gloss comes in a large range of different colours, with 3 different types:
-The 'Shine' range-
-The 'Sparkle' range-
-The 'Intense' range-
-And then the 'Clear' range-
You can only purchase AVON products from your local AVON representative or online from www.avon.uk/com.
This lip gloss retails at £6, but, it can quite frequently be found on offer at Christmas and other times of the year. It is made in Poland.
The lip gloss is comes in a 6ml plastic tube. The plastic is transparent, allowing you to see the shade, and the amount you have left. The tube has a black screw off lid, with the wand attached to it. The lip gloss wand is of a decent length, and has a sponge applicator at the bottom. This makes it quick and easy to apply.
When removing the sponge from the tube it will wipe off excess lip gloss, but still leave you with enough. Only one application is necessary to spread the colour across your lips.
I only have one fault with the packaging, and that is that the wand doesn't reach the bottom of the tube. This means, when you are running out of the lip gloss, you have to strategically wiggle the wand around to pick up enough product. It also means that you can't quite get it all out, so you have a waste a little bit when you throw it away.
The lip gloss will make you lips shiny and noticeably glossy. You can tell that you are wearing a coloured gloss, but it looks natural. The lip gloss isn't too heavy, so you can't feel that it's there.
The lip gloss will not make your lips sticky at all, which for me is a major bonus. Having long hair I need a lip gloss that will not become a hair magnet the second I walk out of the front door. This isn't at all sticky, so I had no problems with hairy lips!
The colour will last a good few hours, but will fade quicker if you eat, or lick your lips. The gloss will also stay around for a long period of time, which means re-application isn't necessary very often.
I have been very impressed with this lip gloss, it provided me with shiny and glossy lips, the colour stayed and it wasn't sticky. What more could I ask for! I have deducted a star for the applicator wand issue, but a well deserved 4 stars from me!
You can visit the AVON website for a full list of ingredients.
Thank you for reading this review, I hope it was of some use to you!

I Brought this on special offer at £3 rrp is supposed to be £6 but with most Avon products they are on sale every other week. For this you receive a 6 ml bottle of lip
gloss. I choose tickled pink as this is rather natural colour but there is a range of colours from pink to plum so a shade for most skin tones.
It has a screw off lid and the application wand is attached to this. It is a rather small soft pad of cushion which is completely coated when you pull it from the bottle. The applicator head is slightly curved so that it makes it easy to apply to all curves of the lips.
You only need the one sweep of the lips as the applicator holds enough gloss to cover them. When you first apply the gloss it feels rather wet and sticky on your lips I was worried this feeling would last but after 2 minutes it became very soft and light and un noticeable that it was even on.
On inspecting myself in the mirror I noticed it gave a very shiny glossy look to my lips which was great. Rather than looking wet they had a nice glimmer shine to them which a tint of pink to them natural yet they stood out. The lip gloss tends to last around 3 hours until there is no trace on it at all on your lips. It starts to fade after around an hour which for me is the major let down.
I do think this lip gross is good its not heavy on the lips or sticky it dry's really fast and looks great giving a lovely shine rather than a wet look. Unfortunately the staying power of this gloss is just not very good and this is why I will not be purchasing it again once my bottle has run out it will sit as a spare on my dressing table.
This is a good gloss from Avon, it comes in really great colours, and gives an amazing and very noticeable shine, especially in the sun shine. While the applied gloss lasts, it looks really great quality and has a really nice appearance. It has quite a smooth texture and doesn't feel gloopy on your lips, but it is sometimes quite sticky, so its not a great lip gloss to wear out when its windy and you have your hair down!
When applied, the lip gloss doesn't last for that long, the longest its stayed on me is around half an hour, so expect to have to reapply it quite often. This is the only flaw I have with it though, so it isn't too bad!
Its pretty good value for money, and I still have the tube after about three months, so it lasts quite well without you having to restock very often.
I love the Avon Glazewear lip gloss range and this 'Extreme Shine' is a further improvement to the standard Glazewear lipgloss. This gloss gets your lips looking so shiny they almost sparkle which is just what i look for in a lipgloss. It's not so sparkly that you can't wear it during the day time though, this lip gloss can be worn at any time of day and on any occasion.
It lasts for a long time as well once you've applied it, there's nothing worse than a gloss that wears off after 10 minutes but this one lasts much longer. It isn't sticky either so if you do happen to get the gloss on anywhere other than your lips, it won't be a hassle to remove. The gloss slides on smoothly as it has a nice soft brush and there's a shade of this gloss to suit everyone. It's available in;
Iced Pink (My favourite)
They cost £6 in the Avon brochure and in their online shop, but they are occasionally on special offer. This is a bargain 5 star lipgloss!
I bought this lip-gloss a few months ago from my Avon rep. I have to say that I do buy quite a lot from Avon and usually I am very happy with their products, but I am sorry to say that with this lip-gloss I am not 100% happy.
The colour that I have is Iced Pink. I don't normally wear dark colours, so I thought that this lip-gloss would be perfect, not too dark but suttle enough so it looks like I am actually wearing something on my lips! But I have to say that with this gloss, the colour is not that dark, so much in fact it does look very clear to me. Because of this I find that I do have to put a lot of the product on, to coat my lips. I think that that has to be the only downside to this lip-gloss, because every thing else about it I like.
The gloss is has a lovely shine to it, so I do find it lives up to it's name! The texture of the lip-gloss is also nice and it is not overly stick or glossy. I do find that the gloss does have a good staying power, but because it isn't that sticky, it does come off quite easily and you will have to re-apply after a while.
The gloss has a sweet smell to it, which is quite nice. (Yes I am one of these people who likes make-up that smells nice. Especially Lip-gloss!!!) The applicator is one of those foam/sponge ones that I really like, I just think that they are easier to apply than brush ones.
When I bought this lip-gloss, I was expecting a lot more from it. But I can't say that I am totally disappointed with it. I did buy this from the clearance brochures that Avon have, so if I can remember correctly I paid about £2.00 for it. Which I don't think is bad at all! So adding up the pro's and con's of this lip-gloss, I would have to say that it is not one I would buy in a hurry, but I may be persuaded to try a different colour....?
My mum bought me this lipgloss a couple of weeks before I went to university and she said to me "I got this lipgloss for you if you like it."
I tried a little bit on my hand and the color I was given was a peach color, and I thought at first that this lip gloss was going to suit girls with olive skin tones (as a peach color is an excellent choice for anyone with olive skin) but surprise, surprise it actually was a nice color and could suit girls with any skin tones, except girls with skin tones lighter than ivory.
Most lipglosses would loose their color/gloss just under half an hour, but this one actually last longer than most lipglosses about an hour or sometimes longer if you're lucky (that if you are not drinking, eating or kissing etc!)
Another good thing about this gloss is that it is similliar to lipstick with gloss coated on top which is good.
As well the gloss defines the shape of your lips and makes then really stand out - hopefully they will look kissable for some lads out there!
But I do believe that this lip gloss is expensive, as it being an Avon brand and the quality of the product.
You can usually get this gloss in other colors such as peach (the one I own) red, pink, berry, why not try all of them you never know you could suit them all no matter what your skin tone is!
I recieved this free in my Avon catalogue along when I bought another item, though the normal price for this item would be somewhere around £6.
As it is an avon product you can only purchase it through an avon catalogue via your avon representative or now through the online order sevice.
It claims to be a lip gloss with extreme shine and although I don't wear a huge lot of lip gloss when I do I think the shinier the better, I don't know why, I just do. I think it may be due to the fact that I think they have a more polished, finished look.
In this lip gloss I personally bought a pink colour, which I think was called 'rose' so it was quite a pale pink. In the tube it didn't look that shiny, but I was still willing to give it ago. The brush was just one of the normal, slightly cheaper fixed brushes.
Once you first apply it I was pleasantly surprised by how shiny it was and on your lips it looks much more shiny than what it does in the tube, as in the tube it looks quite a matte colour.
After covering the lips, I noticed that it was quite a thick lip gloss, so because the lip gloss brush was fixed it was quite hard to even it out, so it would have been better with a heart shaped wand of just one with bristles.
The colour of the pink was lovely, it was a pale deep pink once on the lips, which I prefered to the pale pink I was expecting, it especially worked well if you were wearing natural style make up as the lip gloss was so shiny and due to the colour.
Despite the fact that it was quite a thick lip gloss, I was glad to find that it wasn't sticky or gloopy which meant that it was pleasant to wear!
Everybody eventually finds their perfect lipgloss.Well ive found mine Glazewear extreme nector shine by avon. I love this lip gloss because its a lovely colour and is super glossy. The colour Nector Shine is great for my pale skin because its more of a tint rather than a really bright pink. Also it adds loads of mositure but dosent go sticky and it isnt greasy either. It's really glossy and and makes an amazing shine without you having to use half a bottle. Even though it dosent last for ages you can still feel the softness it has left on your lips.
It comes in a normal lip gloss bottle with a normal wand. The tip of the wand is really soft so its easy to apply the lip gloss. Its usally about £5.00 which is really good compared to some prices when you go to boots and by a well known brand.
You can get avon products from an avon catalogue or go to their website.
I hope I helped,
Glazewear Shine Lip Gloss
Some of you might know, from reading my other reviews that I am an Avon representative. This is the reason why a lot of my reviews are on products from Avon.
I bought this liploss the week before Christmas from my beloved Avon. It looked pretty in the brochure and it was only £2, on offer.
I had never tried a lip gloss from Avon before, but I had heard only positive feedback from customers, so I thought I would give this a go.
The shade I chose this in is a pretty, pale pink shade called Iced pink.
The other shades available are:
I think all the shades are lovely and my favourite one looking at the brochure is the one I ordered, iced pink.
Brochure Description - is it accurate?
"Let your lips shine with incredible dazzle. Glides on smooth and is ultra comfortable to wear. Non sticky"
Incredible dazzle? I wouldn't go that far!
In the brochure this is described as a 'high shine lipgloss'. I think this is an almost accurate description as it is shiny. But its not that dazzling!
It does glide on smoothly, though, I'll give it that.
The brush supplied in the bottle is soft and perfect for applying this to my lips. And the lipgloss isn't at all sticky either which is another great thing. My lips feel smooth and soft when I'm wearing it, and for the short time it lasts they do look good and shiny in the mirror.
I asked a friend the other day what they thought of my lipgloss, after I had just put some on. They asked to borrow it for a second so they could wear some, too.
Frequency of Reapplication
The colour doesn't seem to last on my lips all that long, and after about twenty minutes I feel like I need to put more on. I probably look like I'm addicted to lipgloss I need to reapply this so much. This is the biggest disadvantage of the product - you need to keep putting it on.
Price and where to buy
This is a product from Avon, so if you do want to buy it you can order either from your local representative, or online on the avon website which is www.avon.uk.com.
The price is marked in the brochures as normally £5, but it is sometimes cheaper on offer, and I got it for only £2, as I mentioned above.
Finally, I do think this is worth trying, and I don't regret that I bought it. After all, it was such a bargain at only £2.
It is available in some lovely shades, it glides on smoothly and easily and it isn't sticky. It is pretty shiny, too, just not dazzling.
I think I've had a good bargain with this lip gloss. The only complaint I would have for Avon is that it doesn't last long enough. You have to keep putting it on if you want the shiny lips it describes in the brochure.
Customers and friends I know have used this, have all said it was really good.
Lots of people seem to like this lip gloss, so really I think the best way for you to know if you like it is to give it a try and find out for yourself. If you can find it for a bargain like I did at only £2, then it's definitely worth trying.
