I bought this when I was looking for a new lip gloss to give that super-shiny look for nights out. I hadn't been impressed with my last choice, so I thought I'd give an Avon one a go. This one costs £5 at normal price, but as usual with Avon you can often get it on offer.

It comes in a fairly nice looking tube with a black screw off lid. Through the clear plastic of the tube you can clearly see the colour of the gloss. In the lid is the usual wand style applicator with a sponge -tip to the wand. I prefer this type of applicator for a lip gloss as I think they're the most convenient, quick and easy to use. This one is a nice size so it's easy to apply precisely.

I chose a colour called Nectar Shine, which is a mid pink colour with a slightly peachy undertone. The colour looks great on and the gloss is very shiny and gives you that full pouty look we all want. It isn't a shimmery look, just a plain wash of colour which is nice. Because it is very shiny I was very surprised that it's not very sticky at all. Usually I find with lip glosses the shinier they are and the better they look, the stickier and gloopier they are, but not this one.

It feels vey nice on the lips, kind and moisturising, and it even tastes good, which is a must for anyone who lips their lips a lot like me! It stays on surprisingly well and I don't have to reapply as often as with most glosses. I'd say I reapply every 3 hours or so with this rather than every half hour with most others.

I do think this is a very nice gloss and I think I would buy it again, especially if I can get it when it's on offer. but even at £5 it's very good value for such a good gloss!
