Lipstick or Lipgloss - Discuss! and you know what I could probably do just that for a good hour but instead of boring you I will just get on and review the product.

I have been wearing lip gloss for more years than I care to remember and I am always on the lookout for new ones to try and the bottom of my make up draw is like a graveyard for lipgloss all the many brands that I have tried and that have failed me. This lipgloss however is always at the top of my make up bag as I always use it.

Avon the brand -

Most people know the Avon brand or have heard about it, you have either seen the brouchre posted through your door or seen the book being passed around at work.

Avon has been going for many years and is a well respected brand, they started off selling their products by the famous door to door ladies with that familiar phrase "Avon calling!", they have become more modern now and have their online website and Avon online shop but of course their letterbox broucheres are still going strong.

The product -

I have purchased a few Avon products in the past and decided to try out their lipgloss as like a magpie I was drawn to the bright shiny colours.
The gloss comes in a clear bottle with a black lid. when you open it you can feel the thickness of the gloss as the applicator slids out of the tube.
The applicator is sponge tipped and not an actual brush, it is also contoured to make application more precise

Results -

I picked the shade Tickled Pink which is a very soft pinky brown which has a subtle gold shimmer to it.

I found that I was able to get just the right amount of the product on the applicator that was needed to cover my lips, it really did glide on well and I felt that it was quite thick on my lips but looking in the mirror it was just enough to give me some colour and shine without looking like I had drank a glass of grease. I also found that it disdn't feel sticky on my lips as a lot of lip glosses can do and my lips felt very moisturised.

I found that the product lasted a long time in both its colour and shine, I applied it in the morning and it stayed on most of the day and only required one quick touchup at lunchtime, I did find that only a little came off when eating and also when drinking but there was still plenty left on my lips.

My Conclussion -

I think that at a price of £5.00 this is a great product, you can apply only one layer for a very natural look and bulid it up for a more intense colour, its long lasting and and even lasts through eating and drinking.
