Advantages: Soft, Neat, Long wearing

Disadvantages: Availability

I had never used Avon before or lip liners, so when a friend gave me a Glimmersticks lip liner, I didn't really know what to do with it. I was tempted to give it to the little one for colouring. However, I didn't and if I did I would never have realised how good these are. After trying other lip liners after the Avon one, I realised that they are very good.

You have to twist the bottom of the tube because of the twist up mechanism style, which leads to less waste. This also sharpens the end of the liner so it always has a sharp point and provides you with the tools to draw a neat line and not mess up your make up.

It claims to be "Vitamin enriched for smoother application without dragging. " I have to agree with this, it isn't sharp and it is really creamy and soft. I can get a neat line because of the creaminess and not need to use a number of strokes to achieve the look I want. I find that you have to be quite gentle with it whilst applying otherwise you end looking like a drag queen.

I use the Pink Bouquet but it does come in four different shades:Rich Ginger, Mystery Mauve, Pink Bouquet and Red Brick. The pink bouquet is a dark pink colour that suits red lipstick or deep pink, I can't say for the others. It really updates my look and I never have to worry about bleeding, even after kissing, eating, drinking. You name it, I've done it with this on :) I find the line doesn't smudge and it is really long lasting, I may have to reapply it once during the day, if that.

The lip liner costs £5.00, which is very reasonably priced considering others I have bought have been well over £10. It isn't scratchy, long lasting (about 3 months) and comes in a range of colours. It can be bought from a Avon representative or online.

Summary: What more could you ask for?

a bit about it's staying power and if it smudges easily would be good.
