I have always experimented with make from a very young age, however I have got to the stage now where I have found majority of the products that I like and am very loyal to them brands however with Avon, I do tend to go a little mad and still buy products that I may use once and then they go into a make up bag, never to be seen again, or possibly if I like them, they enter THE make up bag, the one that goes everywhere with me more or less and those little treasures are some of my prized possssions.

Avon comes around too quick now I think, every three weeks and I get that knock on my door telling me how much I owe for my order and giving me the dreading Avon book, which will sit there for a couple of days and then I will pick it up and pen goes to paper and the bank balance starts to fall. I only realised how quick Avon came around because I was on the phone to a mate last time when my Avon rep came around and I told her how much it cost, funnily enough I was on the phone to her this time, and all she commented was how much do you spend a month on Avon.

Kohl eyeliner is something that I have worn from a relatively young age, i didn't use a great deal of make up, however that is one thing that I never left the house without. I dread to think now when I think of my younger days. It's one of those products that I have used ever since on a day to day basis. Over the years I have tried many different brands, of which a great deal of them I would recommend to anyone. Some are absolutely terrible, you feel as if you are going to do yourself some damage with those sharp pencil's and easy application forget it, some are as hard as nails and no matter how much you keep trying to apply it, it simply just does not go on.

I came across Avon Glimmerstick Eye Liner a couple of years ago and as I normally do with special offers, I add a couple onto my order, you never now I may be pleasantly surprised. With this product I certainly was.

Presented in a nice little Avon box, as majority of the Avon product are these days, when you open it up, out comes a normal sized plastic blue pencil, with the name of the products written down the side and a little bit of colour at the bottom, normally on mine it is black, so you are able to determine what colour the product actually is instead of taking the lid off. I find this useful as I use the Avon Glimmerstick Lip Liner (this is my best friend) and at the end of the day if I am in a rush, I don't want to apply eye liner to my lips and lip liner to my eyes, being the blond that I am, I need all the help that I can get. When you take the lid of the product it shows a black crayon like lead and my first impression when actually looking at the product, the crayon looks soft unlike some of the pencil Kohl eyeliners that you can purchase. As you use the eye liner it does start to wear down, however give the pencil a little twist and up will pop some more.

Applying the eye liner is so easy because it is such a fabulous product. I only use this for my lower lids, I tend to use liquid eye liner for my top lids and thats more for special occasions when I am going all out to impress. You don't need to press on too hard with the eye liner at all, the pencil is very delicate and applying with pressure could lead it to break and we don't want that do we. Just glide the pencil along the lower lids with a steady hand and wham bam, I think we are just done. Adding too much pressure onto the pencil when applying could also lead to the eye liner smudging a little as it is very soft, so a softly softly approach is the key to finishing off great looking eyes.

The normally retail in the Avon catalogue for £5, which is a bargain for not poking your eye out. They are also available in Black, Brown and Blue. The same sort of product is available as a lip liner and a brow definer, which the lip liner is an equally good product on all accounts.

Another little treasure, however this goes one better and gets a place in my hand bag, not many get that treatment.
