      Advantages

      Disadvantages

      Not for me!

When it comes to lip-glosses I make no secret of the fact that I'm really not a fan of the stuff and simply find it very difficult stuff to get the hang of. However I always buy them and have a bash with em as I see them on other women and think they look utterly fabulous. My mate Liz looks great in it when we go out and I'm so jealous but me, well when I wear it I end up smudging it everywhere or having to apply it every five minutes and quite frankly I want to be doing other things than tarting myself up all the time as I have a life and I'm not that vain lol.

I spotted this in the little catalogue that popped in for a visit and seeing as it was on offer for £2.50 and I didn't need or want anything else at the time I opted to try this as I loved the colour I picked!

      The Packaging:

The tube of gloss comes in a navy blue and silver plastic wrapper you simply peel off which is very easy to do indeed. On the front of that I'm told it is Avon Glazewear Intense Lipgloss and around the back the size is stated which is 6ml and contact details for Avon are given as usual. The tube itself is clear and like a large bullet shape and has a black plastic lid to one end of it which if you untwist that there is a long 'wand' and an angled applicator sponge to the bottom of it. All that is written on the tube this time and in gold writing is Avon Glazewear Intense and the size is again stated. It really is a nice looking and nice quality tube. I throw mine in a handbag and it gets bashed up all the time but it's robust and doesn't appear to scratch so for us snobby girls it stays looking nice!

      The Lipgloss:

As I stated earlier I chose to buy this gloss because of the colour depicted in the book and this was exactly that colour I received so I was well pleased about that for starters. I liked the feel of the tube of lipgloss too and couldn't wait to use it.

The gloss itself is highly pigmented in colour. No glitter is in it at all so I assume none is in any of this range of lipglosses but it does contain a really nice moist looking sheen and shimmer to it.

It's easy to apply and goes on very evenly and with no messing about at all. I found this a breeze to apply and I could even define my lips with this (as it's a dark colour). The results were rather lovely and my lips looked full and glossy without me having an artificial trout pout or anything like that.

So it goes on smooth and looks rich in colour however I did feel it was a bit too sticky for me and that it made my lips a bit uncontrollable due to that fact. It transferred off on to everything my lips touched however as the gloss disappeared the colour ingrained into my lips and although they didn't look as glossy the colour did go into my lips rich and deep looking and that colour once the gloss vanished stayed about 1 hour.

      Verdict:

It is a high quality lipgloss but once again this type of product failed to excite me. I didn't like the greasiness on my lips at all and was relieved when the gloss ran off and simply a veil of colour was left staining my lips for a while. Worth a go and I can't moan at the quality of this but me, I'm simply not a lipgloss wearer by the looks of things.... sadly!

There are a few colours this is available in and if it's not on offer expect to pay a fiver for a tube. Only available from Avon!
