Advantages: Everything

Disadvantages: None at all

There is one product I never really buy when it comes to cosmetic purchases and that's this type of product, a concealer. I always think providing you use a good foundation and loose/pressed powder over the top you can hide a multitude of sins anyway! I do occasionally buy a blemish stick for me zits but that's about it really!

However of late (and cos I'm getting older) I'm noticing darker circles and puffiness appearing under my eyes in particular. I'm quite conscious of it and I know it's because basically I'm knackered, not sleeping properly, I've had a change in diet (getting healthy) and am working hard in the gym probably a bit too much. I feel better in myself but my appearance looks a little tatty!

So when I saw this product in the Avon catalogue for £7.00 I decided it was time to try out a concealer and it being in a 'pen' format I thought it would be at least easy to use!

The Packaging....

Black plastic 'pen' with pull on/lid to the top of it. Around the main part of the pen and in white writing I'm told it's Avon 'Invisible Light' Concealer (and I'm told that a few times in a few different languages) the recycle symbol is displayed and finally contact details for Avon are given. On the base of the pen there is a small silver label and again on that contact details for Avon are given again and I'm told my chosen colour is 'light'. When you first receive the product there is an a easy to tear off thin plastic covering in black that basically holds the same information as I've just told you the pen does.

Using It....

It's not often I rave about something, particularly anything Avon but this is simply the dogs and I shall repurchase this over and over again it's simply marvelous!

To use it is simple. Twist the bottom of the pen and the product goes to the brush situated at the other end. The brush is made of white thin fibres which are not very so long so it's easy to direct to where you want to apply it.

What comes out is concealer like foundation only a little bit thinner in consistency. It's none fragrant and in my choice of colour it's light and to my skin tone.

I then dab a little via the brush to where I want it and in my case it's under my eyes and a little actually on my eyes to brighten them up a little and you can use this under or over foundation, it's your choice. Simply blend it in with the brush or use you finger to gently sweep it on or a cosmetic brush or something.

It sinks into the skin with ease and no hash rubbing is required at all. It doesn't settle into creases, lines or wrinkles and when on the skin it's none irritating. heavy, oily or skin drying out but it does gently soften and hydrate where it's applied to beautifully in a really natural way.

Results....

Not only is this easy to apply and economical to use cos you really do only need a small amount of the product it really does create a nice, natural radiance. So take under my eyes as an example if you will. They look dark all the time and slightly puffy at times. This lightens the area in a totally natural looking but visible way, evening up the colour of my skin tone and because of that diminishes some puffiness.

This for me isn't for spots or blemishes because it highlights them because of the skin brightening it gives however for dark areas this is absolutely fantastic and once on it stays looking fresh and stays on for hours too! In my make-up bag this seriously is now a must by! It''s uplifting, creates radiance and seriously hides a multitude of sins! Brilliant product and a new must buy of mine! Who needs sleep??!!

Only available from Avon and the normal price is £7.00 a pen but do look out for this on offer and it's available in light and medium colours and has been recommended by 'Reveal' magazine readers!

This sounds great! I love YSL touche eclat but it's so expensive. I think this might be a good (and cheaper) alternative.

W hen I use YSL I tend to put a couple of dots just under my eyebrows and blend it in. It really helps 'lift' and highlight the brow line. Not sure if this product will work the same but it may be worth a try :o)
