      a nice shadow

This eyeshade is available in 5 different shades, coco which is a nice chocolate brown colour, midnight regatta which is a deep dark blue colour, paradise which is a mid green colour, purple infusion which as the name suggests is purple and in ice which is a shimmery off white colour with a tint of baby pastel pink to it. They all have a shimmer to them.

It was the shimmer that first drew me to these eye shadows as I am a little too old for wearing glitter any more as an eye shadow but wanted something with a little sparkle to it for evening wear and didn't want anything too over the top so these seemed ideal.

The eye shadows are a creamy consistency much like a lipstick, they come in a silver stick twist style tube, which you pull the lid off and twist the tube for the stick of eye shadow to raise up.

You are supposed to apply this directly to your eye lids from the stick but I found this to be difficult to do due to the shape of the stick being quite flat and have found I can apply this more accurately using a sponge eye shadow applicator and it blends best using my fingers.

The eyeshade is water proof which is great s I don't have to worry about it running in the rain and it adds to the staying power too, it lasts a good few hours before needing to be touched up and will last you through an evening out with ease but I don't think it would last all day without needing to be touched up after about 5 hours.

It claims to dry to a crease proof finish but this depends on how you apply it because if you apply it too thickly you do get a little bit of creasing but nothing too major.

This is £6 a tube from Avon and is a great eye shadow that is easy to use.

        A good product :)

Avon Limited Edition Eyeshadow Shimmer Stick

I love avon but some of their products are a bit hit and miss really. Some of them I really like and some of them I don't like. But this is one of the products that I like but it does have one bad point, but other than that it is a great product.

I have the versions in Ice - which is a shimmery iridescent colour which has little tiny pieces of silver and baby pink glitter in it which looks so nice when it catches the light and I also have cocoa - which is a shimmery deep bronze/brown colour which also looks really nice and they both really have a metallic sheen to them, which looks so pretty.

They come in sleek silver tube and they have a twist bottom which you obviously just twist like a lipstick to expose the shadow. They are very pretty and they can blend quite easily with my finger but it does not blend or apply well with a brush.

I use the ice colour as an all over lid base and then I put the cocoa just in the outer corner and make a kind of wing/flick with it which is really easy to do as the stick is cut into a lipstick shape so it has a narrower edge on one side and then the normal flat side of larger coverage.

But there are a few things that are not that great about this product. One is that you can't blend it with a brush - so it gets a bit messy as it usually gets all over my fingers and straight from the tube onto your eyelid or me is a bit difficult, so I just rub my finger on the product in the tube it get it out with out the product pulling on my eyelid.

I bought these two when they were on sale and I can't remember how much I payed for them as I have had them for quite a few months (and they have had lasted ages) but on the avon site they are now £4 which is good value for money.

And they also have other shades including midnight, purple infusion and paradise. And they are limited edition so they may go soon.

        Conclusions
        Good points
        *Easy to blend with fingers
*Shimmery pretty colour which is the best thing about this product!
        *Other shades available
        *Lasts ages
*The colour stays put for quite a few hours
        *Sleek simple compact packaging
        *Great size for holidays/traveling/festivals
        *Quite cheap
*One swipe on my finger then on to my lids and thats it!

        Bad points
*A bit messy using my fingers to apply and blend the product
*Not easy to apply or blend with a brush

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

Great item - a must in your make up bag.

I have recently started buying products from Avon, through our local representative and via the internet, I love shopping for makeup, and generally stuff for women. This eye shadow is the limited edition shimmer eye shadow Avon also do a mousse eye shadow and there are similarities but also differences too.

The packaging comes in a stick; it looks like a pen with a lid on. The stick is silver and could be mistaken for a lipstick too. On the bottom of the stick is the colour sticker and product code.

There is no information other than one sticker on the top indicating, what the item is? Or what the item contains ingredients or any such information. I don't often sit and read this, but I can usually identify an item by its packaging. I have bought this in two colours; I have to check the bottom to see which is which. Luckily the sticker is there but Avon package a lot of items like this and this isn't the packaging only for this item. I could end up with lipstick on my eyes.

The size is good though; it can fit in to your handbag and not take up too much room.

The product is really good, it is like the newer lipsticks in a twisty package, instead of applying it to your lips, you apply it to your eyes. It is gel and therefore lasts so much longer than powdered eye shadows. The actual eye shadow although a gel it is quite hard still, it comes out like a pen or marker and really leaves a strong presence on your eyes.

I like the fact you don't need to reapply this, and that it is so bright and strong and is really easy to apply.

It is great that it only goes where you put it, it isn't like dust or powders that can end up all over the top you are wearing.

I bought the 2 shades, there are 5. I got the Green and Cream. This eye shadow normally costs £6.00, I got two for that in the sale.

My only snipe would be the colour range, I would like to see more variety and colours, I would buy a lot. Even just more plain colours, just because it lasts.
