“ Brand: Avon / Type: Lipgloss / Suitable for: Lip „
I have had a few of these Lip Radiance lip glosses from Avon, I don't know why because I'm not that mad for the product and I think there are deffo best lip glosses about for a lot cheaper than this. The normal price is £6.00 but it's quite often on offer, I've just had a look and at the minute it's £4.00 but even that's too expensive I think.
Avon have tried to make this sound posher than a normal lip gloss but that's all it is really. It comes in a nice tube and you squeeze the gloss out onto the applicator at the end, it's quite easy to apply when you're using it over your lipstick but I think it made the edges of my lips look proper messy when I used it alone.
It has got a bit of a vanilla taste when you get some in your mouth but it doesn't last long and the taste of it disappears very quicker, I try not to get lip gloss in my mouth anyway because I can't stand the feel of it on my teeth so whether it's flavoured or not that doesn't bother me.
The shine is quite good but it's not wet look or anything like that, I think it's got a bit of a greasy look to it actually and I'm not mad keen on the feel of the gloss on my lips. It's doesn't feel greasy but is heavy to wear and that feels even worse when I've got it on over my lipstick. That's a shame because I think that is the best effect because the colour of the lipstick shines wicked through the gloss.
I have had the Gold Foil and Rose Foil and they're nice colours but the tint in the gloss isn't strong enough I don't think and the colour isn't obvious enough. The gold one looks wicked with red lipsticks because it gives it a bit of a 2 tone look.
The gloss lasts for a decent amount of time, it's about the same as any other lip gloss but no better. I reckon with each application you get about 2 hours worth of gloss, that's providing you don't drink too much or lick your lips that is! lol
I was a little disappointed with Lip Radiance from Avon and actually decided to return it to Avon for credit I thought it was that poor.
I purchased this item believing it was a shimmering lip colour gloss which would be great for parties over the festive season. The brochure states that it can be used alone or over your favourite lip colour so I ordered the Rose Foil shade (Silver Foil and Gold Foil also available) believing it would be fine worn alone.
Unfortunately it was little more than a tube of runny lip gloss with a little bit of colour and glitter mixed in. Yes it did have a slight "yummy vanilla taste" as promised but at my age I am not really terribly concerned with how my lip gloss tastes as I tend not to eat it regularly.
This costs £6 for a cheap plastic tube of childish lip gloss and I think it is too much for something very poor in quality and concept. If there was a £3 version of this in the Color Trend section aimed at teenagers then I would probably be giving this five stars. But it is aimed at fully grown adults for £6 a time and for that I have to give it two stars for being so cheap and tacky.
