      Advantages

      Disadvantages

A good foundation at a decent price.

I like to wear quite pale make up and often the ones I buy are too thin and even Corn Silk that I used to use became a liquid more than a cream so I started looking round for something else.

Having found an Avon catalogue in the office, I decided to try one of theirs and selected Magix Cashmere and at £8 it was a bit more expensive than the more recent Corn Silk items I had bought. The price has gone down a bit as I have just replaced it with 2 for £12 so that has been a bargain.

I chose Nude as I don't like to wear dark make-up and my main hope was that it would cover the red that so often shows on my cheeks. I know you cannot be that sure when you look at the colour charts but in this case I would say that it was a fairly good match to the colour in the book.

The tube is very much the same as other Avon tubes and that is brown and quite flat. When I first used it I was pleased that the foundation was a bit thicker than the others I had used although still a fair bit away from a cream which I like. After the first few uses, it was clear that it was going to be economical as I was only using a small amount each time.

It feels very smooth when it is on, and it lasts most of the day, although if I am out all day I will sometimes redo it before going out for the evening. It does not make my skin look at all dry and covers the fine lines really well.

I am pleased that the red does not show through and I manage to get the look I want. It is also easy to blend in so there is no need to worry about a noticeable brown line under my chin.

The tube contains 30ml of foundation and according to the tube there is an SPF of 15. There is not a lot of information on the tube other than the fact that it is foundation and SPF15 in lots of languages so I cannot say what is in it.

I can't imagine me changing this for some time so I will be looking for it to be on offer whenever there is an Avon catalogue around.

I bought this a few weeks ago out of Avon and it was on special offer for £4.50, it comes in a 30ml tube, with Avon magix printed in large letters, then cashmere finish foundation printed in smaller letters. On the back you have what it is printed in other different languages, it has no ingredients or anything printed on the tube at all.

The tube is easy to open with a black screw top lid, and you just screw it off really easily. When I apply my foundation I only put a small amount on the tip of my finger and put little dots over my face as I find it easy to blend it all over by doing it this way.

The colour I have of this is nude so it just blends in to my skin well, without it been too dark, or without any patches. When I apply this it makes my skin feel all nice and soft, it does not make it feel oily or greasy in any way like some foundations do.

Also unlike most foundations I have used this has actually got a nice sort of perfume smell to it, which I really like the smell of, there is no real need for the smell of it, but I actually like the fact that it has a pleasant smell to it, instead of it been odourless.

I would recommend this foundation, as it applies really easily and leaves your face feeling refreshing, and it will last quite a while as you do not need to use loads of it when it is applied, and it does stay on your face for quite a while, I use it just when going out for a night out, and it still looks just as good when I get back home. It also removes easily with a baby wipe.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A very reasonable light-to-use foundation often available as part of bargain deals.

Cashmere. Mmmsoft. Softly soft. Like its slightly older sibling, this is basically the gel-powder MagiX but with colour. Avon says it's a liquid mousse, which is still true, I think, and that it gives a luminously flawless finish.

It has all the qualities of the first-born, including the 30ml flat squeezy tube, a pleasing and not overwhelming smell, a supersoft texture, SPF protection (10), and a superb blendability. I found that, as much as I shook the tube, the texture of this Cashmere version of MagiX was runnier, more drippy-ploppy than the other, and there was always rogue liquid. Imagine, if you will, the extra "juice" that comes with cottage cheese, and you'll have a slightly distorted idea of what I mean. MagiX isn't in the least cheesy; it's just that the liquid is annoying and, if you forget it might be there, it may well run down your hand.

My pale fair pale cool-toned pale skin can be annoying to match a foundation, concealer, powder, or other to but the ivory shade of this seems to be a fairly (ha, pun) good match. It's not perfect, but nor does it make me look orange. It does give a nice, "healthy" (a rare thing for me, but that's a whole big, long story...) glow/look/appearance/whichever word you might choose.

Again, like the colourless MagiX (but not the Illuminating one, as I've not bought or tried it... yet)), this Cashmere version of Magix seems to magically smooth away pores, making them look blurred, which would be the soft-focus look referred to by Avon in the product description. It really do do that! It really does. It blends very easily, giving light coverage. Like other foundations or concealers, if your skin is just a tiny bit dry and/or flaky - have you met my face, reader? - Cashmere will probably have a tendency to look cakey, but I think it'd be quite hard to apply it heavily, such is its lightness and thinness when blended. Happily, it's one of those products that will last a fair old while, and a little squirt of it will go a long way.

I bought this when it wasn't sold at its full price, as is usual for me, but I think it was about £4, as an introductory offer or something similar. This is good, for me, but I don't think I'd pay the full price of around £10 for it, since I don't regard it as a staple, undoubtedly necessary, utterly vital part of my face. But it's more than a nice enough thing to use, certainly.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

A good foundation that would be more benficial to dry/normal skin

I order quite a bit from Avon just because of how easy it is. You get the book and have about a week to look at it then you place your order on the form and a week later it is delivered to your door. I might be sad but I look forward to my little delivery to see what the new products are like. When there are good deals on I order if the product takes my fancy. I use the Avon magix face perfector and I love it so when I seen that the magix range had a foundation out that was reduced to about £7.00 I decided to give it a go having high hopes from the perfector.

The foundation comes in a beige coloured 30ml tube that has the information required telling you that this is the magix perfector foundation. The lid is black in colour and can be twisted off easily. The packaging is nice enough for something you order from a brochure but it wouldn't be something I was attracted to in a shop.

The magix foundation is actually a mousse so it has a different consistency being a bit thicker and smoother to apply. Normally mousse foundation tends to come in a tub so I was hoping this one was still thick and didn't loosen up upon dispensing and it didn't. The mousse rubs into the skin very easily and you can immediately feel that the skin has become smooth and softer once the mousse has dried. It conceals dry areas of the skins and adds moisture to help combat flaky parts that can occur.

I would say that this has a light coverage and although it was lovely I still needed to use a concealer and as the day goes on I can feel the skin around my nose and forehead area becoming quite greasy and I need to apply powder a few times to keep this at bay, after all there's nothing worse than a greasy face.

This product comes in a few different shades:

        Creamy natural
        Ivory
        Medium beige
        Natural beige
        Nude
        soft honey

I chose the ivory shade as I normally do when it comes to foundation and this seemed like the perfect shade for me.

Overall this is a good foundation which makes the skin lovely and soft however if you have combination skin like me it can cause the foundation to slip off and become greasy due to it being quite moisturising. For normal to dry skin, this foundation would be ideal if you can pick it up for a discounted price as £10.50 is a tad to steep.

        Advantages

        Disadvantages

        like silk on your skin

Magix cashmere foundation comes in a variety of shades to suit most people,
The foundation is a liquid mousse when full price though Avon magix sells for around £10
and comes in a 30 ml squeezable tube.

I always found it hard to find a foundation that didn't cling to my blemishes,
I have dry skin around my nose and other products seemed to always clog up around there but Avon's magix to my surprise has never done that, Even when i have had a terrible break out in dry skin or redness.
It makes your skin flawless .
I only bought it because it was on offer through one of the books for £8.00, but when i tried it was silky and glided over my face now this is the only foundation I will ever buy.

I have since recommended this product to all my lady friends and they love it too, any lady who wears make up on a daily basis wants a foundation that is complimentary to their skin and magix is just that.

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

Girls try this because you will be hooked once you have

I brought this foundation from avon a few months ago whilst on it was offer for £7.00, normal retail price is £10.50 if i recall. I really love Avons products because they really do what they say in the broucher and not at expensive prices.
The Magix cashmere finish foundation comes in ivory, nude, natural beige, creamy natural, medium beige and honey so you have got a lot of choice to find the right shade for your skin tone. The thin tube is quite flat to look at and it has a black top too that only takes a couple of turns to come off. Magix is written on the front of the tube in gold writing. The great thing about this tube is that it has a very small point to the top of it so you dont end up in a mess if you squeeze the tube a little hard, which has happened to me on a ouple of occasions. Also with the tube being quite flat you are able to squeeze the last bit out of it if you are waiting on your next one coming to you.
The foundation itself is a little thiner than most foundations so you do have to watch how fast it comes out to make sure you dont get too much. You an feel the softness in the foundation as soon as you put it in your hand. Its alot smoother than most and if like me you use a sponge to apply it, it goes on very nicely and doesnt look patchy at all.
I brought the nude colour of this foundation because being very fair and pale i need a little colour on my face and the nude did just this, i had a sample of the ivory and it made me look too pale and wasnt attractive on my skin tone. the nude colour blended well with my skin and you couldnt tell where i put the foundation (on the back of my hand whilst doing a skin test) the only difference was that the place where the foundation was rubbed in it was very smooth and looked more air brushed than normal foundation.

i always put a base on my face before putting on my foundation and i have found that Bio oil works really well with this foundation. I tend to use bio oil everyday because of a couple of scars on my face and after this is applied and the foundation is applied it didnt look oily at all, my skin seemed very even toned and it covered any small blemish i had on my face.

The foundation is suitable for oily, normal and dry skin tones which is great because i do have dry skin on my face if i havent got any bio oil however if i do have bio oil the foundation counter acts this and makes everything even.
Its very smooth to touch when applied and really does feel like cashmere, well as close as it can get anyways.
It really is worth the price of £10.50 when at normal price, you only need a small amount of your sponge because it really goes along way. It is often on offer in the brouchures and i have seen it come down to as little as £5.
Its really nice, really easy to apply and lasts for ages so if you like your make up to last and you want it to be more air brushed then try this

          Advantages

          Disadvantages

          .

I buy a lot of my cosmetic, bath and body items from Avon because they're a company who have been running for a lot of generations and their quality can barely be matched in my opinion, when flicking through my latest catalog I decided I wanted to try a new foundation but one that was easy and not harsh on my skin, so I decided to purchase the Nude shade of 'magix cashmere finish foundation' this for just £6.99 and the price is normally £10.50 so get a little bit of a bargain here.

'Magix cashmere finish foundation' comes in 6 shades, from ivory, nude, natural beige, creamy natural, medium beige and ofe honey. I have really light skin and usually got for the Ivory colours, but a tip for anyone who is the same, always get the shade up from Ivory when buying Avon foundations becaue the lightest's makes us look dead! The foundation colour matched up to the picture pretty well was almost the same which I was glad about because some foundations are always different to the pictures, I chose the Nude colour because it seemed a more softer creamier happy version of the Ivory colour.

'Magix cashmere finish foundation' comes in a flat-ish wide tube, which I like because when it get's near the end of the foundation you can squeeze the last drops out of it and probably get a few more wears before having to purchase another, the consistancy of this is slightly runnier than most foundations I have used, so when sqeezing some out do it slowly and only use a pea sized on your hand, because you don't want to waste any so put squeeze some out as and when you need it, because of the consistancy, it make's it easier to spread around, I use a foundation brush with makes it glide even better over your skin, I can use a pea sized about for half of my face, This foundation worn every day will last you around 3 - 4 months if applied properly.

This reminded me a little of the dream matte mousse foundation, it is a little mousse-y but when applied it is supposed to give the air brushed look and feel, which this foundation does brialliantly, although because of my bad skin condition you can see it through on my cheeks, so I have to apply a lot of concealer in these areas, but if you have a few spots, blemish's and flaws or hadly any then you will be fine and probably won't even need to apply ny concealer with this.

This is suitable for dry, oily, normal and combination skin, I have combination skin and it moisturises the dry areas and even's out the oily areas which is great having a foundation do this, This lasts well over 8 hours, despite my cheeks this foundation stays on brilliantly, I have to re apply on my cheeks every few hours but that in through no fault of the foundation.
