I was bought this set as a gift and in the past I had not got on with french manicure sets.

I found the varnish to be surprisingly thick compared to its competitors. I also have a Rimmel french manicure set and found the white to be very watery whereas this is easy to apply and only needs one coat.

The nude varnish is very natural although two coats is a must to blend with the bright white.

As with any home manicure sets I found the templates to be very large and so ended up doing the tips freehand. The brush is thick enough that once you find a line to work to all you need is a quick sweep.

I felt chunky handles made it easier to use and therefore only needed to wait until my nails were touch dry before starting on my other hand.

It lasted about 5 days before starting to chip and I must add that I have a 14 month old boy to run around after so tried, tested and very robust!

I have since found out that the kit is £6.50 and I must say I would be reluctant to pay that had I not used it before hand. After trying to product I have to say I wouldn't think twice about the price.
