I always try to make the most of my nails, I have pretty big manly hands so my nails are a way in which I can make my hands look a little more girly and as I used to bite then as a youngster they can often be a little bit weak which was the reason I decided to give this product as try.
The product is used to cost around £3.50 however if you wait for an offer they often have a run off 3 for £5 type offers which makes the product pretty cheap, I haven't seen this in the last few campaigns but with Avon things often pop back up. The product being an Avon product can only be bought direct from their website which means there could be a delivery fee or from one of their representatives which means free delivery.
The product comes in a small glass see through bottle which holds 12mls of product which makes it really great value when you compare to a brand such as Sally Hansen. The bottle has a twist top white lid on it and inside of course there is the applicator brush just like with any bottle of nail varnish.
The product is easy to apply and you simply paint it onto your nails just like you would a nail varnish, nice dry the product leaves your names with a shiny clear layer on them which looks nice. The varnish does seem to help with the strength of my nails and I tend to apply it a couple of times per week to keep up the effects, I find that I hardly use any of the product in any one go and therefore have still got about half a bottle left and I have been using this for a good 9 months or so making it really great value. I give this 5 stars as there is nothing wrong with the product at all and it seems to do a really great job.
Getting false nails professionally applied can look gorgeous and the different trends and techniques at the moment can look fantastic however one of the main issues is the damage to the nail underneath when the nails have came off. Many beauty therapists have explained that if the nails are taken off properly there should be no damage to the natural nails however my nails are weak to start with and get even weaker after my nails have came off. I find that they bend easily and snap after having nails on so I knew I needed a good product that would help to strengthen my nails and help them grow.
I saw the Avon strong results product in the clearance magazine for £1.50 so I decided to give it a try to see if it would help. I don't get false nails very often but even once really weakens mine down and I end up biting them and making a right mess of my fingers and this product seemed just what I needed.
The product comes in a 12ml clear glass bottle which is very simple in design and gives you the make of the product on the front. The back has nothing written on it in the form of any instructions so you need to keep the packaging. The lid is white in colour so the product looks very basic. The formula can be seen through the bottle and this is also clear. The brush is also white in colour and appears different from a nail varnish brush as it is silky smooth.
You basically apply this product to the nails and it leaves a clear shiny base. The scent isn't like nail varnish so you don't mind it. I used to apply this about twice a week and I am happy to say that it does actually work; you can definitely see the difference in the strength and look of the nails. Unfortunately I don't think you can purchase this particular one any more as it only tends to pop up in the sale books which is a shame however it seems to have been taken over by a product called gold strength which does exactly the same thing but adds a hint of gold.
I would definitely recommend this product if you manage to pick one up as the only thing I have to say bad about it is the drying time can be a bit long but apart from that it is fab.
I used to work in jewellers, my nails were always perfectly shaped and manicured and in lovely condition as they were on show most of the time this had to be the case! However two children and a hell of a lot of housework later my nails are ermmmm slightly neglected.
My nails tend to be quite thin and peel pretty bad, I have quite severe ridges and they are just in a state of neglect in general.....that is until about two weeks ago.
I wanted something to work a minor miracle on my nails so ordered Nail experts strong results from my Avon representative. I could not wait to give it a bash at £2.50 it was half price so I did not have much to lose.
The bottle came in a cardboard box that had a dotted line down one side, the instructions are printed on the inside. It said to apply to clean nails at least twice a day for a week. That was it no more instructions...SIMPLES!!!
The bottle is just like a clear nail polish bottle with a brush containing 12ml of a clear liquid. You apply as if applying nail polish, the liquid has a really strong odour that is like an overpowering baby powder, although not unpleasant. I applied as directed and waited for it to dry....to my surprise after 2-3 minutes it disapeared!!
I went on as instructed to apply twice a day on clean nails without any nail polish etc I did this for a week. Almost straight away my nails started to look healthier, the nail bed area looked a healthy creamy pink and my growth above my nail bed was white and strong, after a couple more days I noticed the ridges had started to fade my nails looked a lot smoother. I am so impressed with the results I have continued in to a second week of applications, my nails are actually the longest they have been in ages and are so much stronger but still flexible, they feel almost moisturised.
I have not had nails this healthy strong moisturised and ridge free for a long long time, I would definately reccomend this product to anyone who desires healthy long strong nails.I have been using Strong Results now at least twice a day for two weeks and only used maybe a tenth of the bottle so for £2.50 I think there is a good few months supply, great value for money!
DEFINATELY 5 STARS FROM ME.
I am a biter i am afraid, but i try sometimes, when i am not hungary (hehe) not to bite them. When i am having these phases i like to stregthen them as i don not take great care of them. I sometimes buy bits and bobs from Avon, and noticed the 'Nail experts strong results' that calima to help stregthen your nails, so i thought id give it a go.
IN a 12ml bottle, it is the average size for nailvarnishes and cost £3 on offer. The bottle is glass and is clear, great as you are able to see the product, and how much you have left too!! The lid, as you can see from the picture is white, and this holds the brush for application. The lid is also square in shape, which i have to say can be a little more fiddly than the round tops with regards to comfort when holding the brush to apply the product.
The Writing is very simple, the front simply says AVON, NAil experts, strong results in black in a clear to read font. The rear of the bottle simply has the directions.
The brush itself is clearand the bristles are approx 1.5cm in legnth and are fairly stiff, which i suppose they need to be.
The liquid itself is quite thin and has the consistency of water. The smell is a little chemically to the nose but the product is easy to apply and takes roughly 5 minutes to dry. Depending on what you like, the products drys without a sheen or the appearance of a varnish at all, which works great for me, as i work in an environment where i am not permitted to wear nail varnish, so in this instance i am able to apply a stregthener and not be worried about wearing a varnish. I also have to wash my hands 30+ times a day at work and thereore as the product is dry, there os not the chance of it coming off.
with regards to seeing if it does what it says on the tin, i do feel my nails are stronger. I have ridges in my nails, and this product doesnt help with this, but i certainly feel that my nails withstand all the handwashing much better.
A good product, that is easy to apply, and small enought o pop in your bag and take around.
A point knocked off for the unpleasent chemical smell though im afraid.
