Advantages: Strong colour pay off, Cheap, Strengthens nails

Disadvantages: Application can take a while

I receive the Avon catalogue on a regular basis, and I am often putting orders in to try some of their products out. I spotted the Avon Nailwear Pro Nail Enamel Polishes when flicking through last winter, and I thought they would make great gifts for some friends. So, I picked up a few but did not hesitate to order one for myself too.

You get 12ml worth of product, and Avon claim that this "gives you the look of a professional manicure" and that it can "last up to ten days" so I was very keen on it and was hoping for big things. I opted for the shade Decadence which is a medium purple shade which I though would be perfect throughout the winter months to wear both on my finger nails and toes. However, Avon offer a wide range of shades in this nail polish including blues, pinks, peaches, plums, and the list could go on. So there really is a shade for everyone, however there is not many bright shades, so these are not recommended for the summer months.

Upon receiving my nail polish, I was quick to test it out, and I noticed that the brush was of a high quality, and the bristles were just the right texture to apply the nail polish evenly throughout the nail. Once dipped in to the pot, it gathered up a nice amount of polish but not too much that it got messy. The brush was effective at getting in to little gaps which you can not normally reach, and this helped to cover the nail efficiently. One thing I did notice when applying the nail polish was that the consistency of it was a little watery, and this did mean that I needed three coats to achieve the look I was happy with wearing, and I did find that the application was a little tedious, as I spent a lot of time doing it.

However, the results were worth it as I had a gorgeous purple shade scattered throughout my finger nails and toe nails, and the colour pay off is excellent in the end as they really stand out. In addition to this, this nail enamel contains diamond dust and acrylic to help strengthen the nails, and I did notice that once I had worn the polish for a few days at a time that my nails did feel much stronger, because they are normally quite brittle and do break easily, so I was very happy with this.

But how long did it last? I have got to say that this nail polish did last a fairly long time without chipping, and I would say a good seven days before I needed to re apply it which I was impressed with, and due to this I will be picking some up to take on holiday with me, as it means I will not have to be constantly redoing it.

Overall, I am very impressed with this nail polish, and it is quite a bargain for the quality of which it is. It retails at £6.00 and is available from Avon catalogues or online on their website, but it is often of offer so it is worth waiting around for that which is what I did. Good quality nail varnish, if you are patient enough to apply it neatly. Thanks for reading.

Summary: High quality nail polish for an affordable price.
