I am a person who just never learns. I love painting my nails myself and so I am always on the lookout for new polishes, in new and funky colours. As my mum is a devoted Avon rep I decided to help her out and buy some from the Avon catalogue. What a disappointment.

Literally within hours of painting the nail polish on it begins to chip away. I have counted 4 bottles of Avon nailwear pro polishes I have and all have been the same story. I first bought a red matte polish and applied 3 coats of it, a top coat (but not too heavy as I did not want to ruin the matte effect) then the quick freeze nail dry spray and it chipped away by the evening. I also have a silver, a purple, a blue and orangey/fuschia colour (all bought on separate occasions might I add) and it seems with each one I purchase the time reduces. Once, within 30 MINUTES I found myself re-painting my nails. I don't have time to do this on a constant basis! It is not that I am a careless person and I smudge them or do a lot of manual work and they chip easily. I have nail polishes from Barry M and Rimmel and they see me through the week if I apply base coat, spray them, paint them, top coat and spray again. But nothing has sufficed to work to ensure this polish stays put. It is truly a terrible shame, as I absolutely love the colours they bring out. But the polish quality is absolutely pants. Just watery and runny, not thick and substantial. And the price isnt £1 or anything so to be honest I expected more from Avon.

Honestly, if I could give this product a no star rating I would, so in any event I will be generous and give it 1 *
