I use lip balm all year round and have always got at least three on the go which I keep in various handbags so I have always got one to hand. I bought this lip balm from my Avon agent when it was on offer for £1.50 which is a great price for an Avon product.
The lip balm is in a plastic tube and is a pretty pink colour with a white base. To use you take the lid off and twist the bottom until the amount of balm you want is shown. I find it is best not to have too much of the actual balm sticking out as I have broken balms off in the past if too much is twisted up as they sometimes get a bit soft if it is warm weather.
I would describe the smell of the balm as sweet and fruity and you can definitely smell the strawberries, and it also tastes good on your lips. The actual balm itself is white and leaves a slight shine to your lips but not enough to really notice so it is suitable for both men and women and my husband uses this occasionally and if it left a gloss finish he wouldn't use it.
To apply I rub it over my lips once which I find is sufficient and my lips feel lightly coated and protected straight away. I probably use balms more in the summer as my lips tend to get really dry in the sun both on holiday and at home, but also use them frequently in the winter when my lips get dry from the winds and cold weather.
I have used this particular balm regularly but it has hardly gone down so think it will last me for a long time. My lips instantly feel soft and hydrated so I would buy this one again and will look out for it to be on offer again.
Avon Strawberry Lip Balm, from the Naturals range is a must have for most girls of most ages. I used to use general chapstick and found the smell and taste disgusting. It also looks like lard in a twisty tube which always put me off. Many years ago I found this gem in my Avon catalogue and have continued to use this since. I have bought these from Avon as well as eBay depends where I find them when I most need to buy them. They are generally a few pounds each although with the deals in Avon you can get 2 for £3 etc, I have bought for the same sort of price from eBay too.
One of the first things that strike's you about this product is the actual packaging. The Naturals range show off the ingredients in a very striking way. This Strawberry lip balm has delicious strawberries on the front, all glimmering and shiny almost edible really. The rest of the tube is a light pink colour, the colour the cream would go when mixed with the strawberries in fact, very clever Avon.
The twisty bit at the bottom and the lid are a white plastic, same colour as the cream. When you remove the lid, there is a heavy scent of strawberries and cream, it is defiantly the correct smell, the cream side just blends the edge off the strawberry scent but it is delicious. The lip balm itself is a red/pink colour and after twisting the bottom, you are ready to go. It glides over the lips well and isn't sticky or gluey. Although the colour of the product in the tube is quite striking, it doesn't appear on your lips with such a dramatic colour, you get a shiny covering with hardly any colour tinge at all. It is a lip balm after all not a lipstick/lipgloss. You can wear this under lipstick to moisten lips. I didn't have particularly chapped or flaky lips but using this product most days, my lips are very soft and kissable. Thanks Avon!
I always carry a lip balm wherever I go, I've got a bad habit of always licking my lips. I wouldn't say they ever get flakey, but sometimes they feel a little bit dry. With doing Avon, I seem to spend more money buying the latest products than actually earning any money. I especially like the Naturals range and lately they have brought a new flavour out. It is called strawberries and cream. They do a bubble bath, shower gel and of course a lip balm. The lip balm is just the standard size of any lip balm I've bought before. The slim like tube is attractive, showing delicious strawberries on the front. You just pull off the lid, wind it up from the bottom and apply. The balm is a pink colour which I suppose you expect seeing as though it is strawberry flavoured. The balm is lovely once applied. Straightaway you can taste the strawberries, it tastes that good you end up licking it all off again. Your lips feel moisturised, and maybe a little greasy but not half as bad as plain lip balms. It sells for £1.69 , but at times you can get 2 for £3.00 or even better 3 for £4.00. I think I will stock up on this one.
