“ Brand: Avon / Type: Foundation / What it does: Smoothes, „
I needed a new foundation one time and as Avon had a half price offer on this one, I decided I might as well try it out and see what it was like. The normal price is £12 but as I said this was half price so I got it for just £6 which isn't bad for a foundation. The shades you can buy this in are: *Natural Beige *Medium Beige *Soft Honey *Shell *Ivory *Nude I chose this in Nude because whenever I have used foundations from Avon before, ivory is much too light and shell is a bit too orange for my skin tone. Avon doesn't do that many shades but luckily nude is just right for my pale, but not too pale, skin. When this arrived I was a little bit surprised at how thin the bottle was as I expected it to be a bit fatter. There is 30ml in the tube and it is a squeezy type tube. You can see what it looks like in the picture. One reason I like this is because it lasts a long time before you need to put more on. It isn't a perfect foundation for reasons which I will come to in just a second, but it is very good and I think it was good value for money. But I might not get it again at full price, only if it was on offer again would I buy it. This seems waterproof and it lasts a whole day. It doesn't make you look like you are caked in make up which is definitely a good thing. And the shade I have found is right for me which is also a good thing. To take this off you usually have to use make up remover. I use make up removing wipes and then I use face wash to make sure none of it is clogging up my pores which could cause me to have spots. The disadvantages of this product, for me, is that the tube is thinner than expected, as I mentioned, and it seems to run out quite quickly. I would like there to be more of it in the tub. This doens't have any amazing features but it is a good foundation from my point of view and if you're only paying half price like I did then I would certainly recommend trying it out.
Hmmm, my skin is no good with liquid foundation it's just poop. I bought this product a while ago actually, a few months, and I haven't really used it properly as I'm (proud to say) not one of those girls that slap/cake it on. Recently I attended a body shop party which inspired me to give liquid foundation a try and so I tried the body shop foundation and then this one for my entire face. I do believe that this was the better one and it is not completely rubbish as others have stated yet it hasn't amazed me as a foundation for day where. Today I tried this product whole-y on my face and once on, it comes off fairly easy, rubbing against clothes ect. which was not great and so, once I'd spent 25 minutes walking in the windy, cold weather to get to school and look in the mirror, I could still see the blemishes and I could tell I had foundation on as it was not an even coverage. However, I do believe that this product is worth a try with people with PERFECT skin already that are simply looking for an even skin tone, I have cheek spots and dry skin on my nose which is why liquid foundation makes these stand out even more! :/ This is a fairly cheap foundation at £12.00 and if you are a reasonably spot free person then you should give it a try and if you do not like it as an all-over foundation, there are a wide variety of skin tones (Ivory, Medium, Beige, Natural Beige, Nude, Shell, Soft Honey) to use a bit of this foundation over eye lids up to your eyebrows and round and in the dark circle area so eye shadow or eye-liner will stick better. Basically a substitute primer. I also use a bit on my cheeks, (great for filling up large-pours for more even skin) and then use powder everywhere and then hit the blush. Looking at packaging The 30ml bottle is simple and compact, fitting inside the palm of your hand, make-up bag or even pencil case. It is a simple squeeze tube and on the black lid is a sticker with the shade name and the sticker itself is the shade of the foundation. 18th March - Just an update I am starting to like this product a lot as i have been using it daily again, my skin condition is barely any spots right now which is great and the foundation really works. It is not blocking up pores and i feel like it is protecting my face from everyday dirt getting in and causing spots. EXTRA STAR ME THINKS!
I absolutely love this make up. For me, this is one of the best buys. The only reason for this is, that I can get it in the lightest shade. My skin tone is very fair and it is almost impossible to get a make up that matches my skin tone. With this make up, it is possible!! The lightest shade is very light and the coverage is good too. It doesnt cover all blemishes, but it still gives a good coverage. The consistency is creamy and absorbs nicely into the skin. The price of this foundation is very reasonable and it lasts for absolutely ages. I have bought this make up at least 3 months ago and i am still using it. It is definitely a great value for money and if your skin is very fair, i would definitely recommend this foundation. The only downfall is, you will have to reapply during the day, as it doesnt stay on all day.
Foundation isnt something i wear as an every day product but just on specal occasions when i am going out for a night or to a party, this foundation caught my eye as it claimed to give a flawless complexion that lasts for 12 hours, it has a built in primer to give a smoother look to your skin and a very even complexion. At the full price of £12 i wouldnt have looked twice at this but at half price as it was when i purchased mine i thought it was a bargain. It is available in 6 shades two in each a very fair, fair and medium skin tone colour, i opted for the lightest shade having rather pale skin and it did suit my skin very well. It is a liquid foundation that comes in a 30ml bottle. I have tryed applying this with my fingers and a makeup sponge and both times found it very hard to work with as it is such a thick cream and a lot thicker than what i am used to but must say it lives up to its claims of covering your skin to give a flawless look without the need for any concealer but it does feel very heavy on my skin and a lot less natural a look than i am used to. It claimed to last upto twelve hours and this is where it disapoints, in less than 3 hours it has started to go shiny on my t zones and if touched by clothing transfers very easily so you realy do need to avoid anything touching your face wholst wearing this. As i said previously i dont wear makeup every day so when i do come to use this it needs a very good shake as it seems to seperate in the tub which i have never found with other foundations. I wasnt completely disapointed with this as it gives great coverage if that is what you are looking for but is a bit too thick for the look i was trying to achieve, i will use this untill it runs out but wouldnt buy it again.
This is my mates foundation but we always share because we have the same skin tone so when she's at mine she uses my Max Factor foundation and when I'm at hers I use whatever shes using at the time. She knows I love Avon so said for me to try this Extralasting foundation because she couldn't get on very well with it even though she always uses a different foundation from Avon. I thought it would probably be rubbish because I've used other stuff from the Everlasting range and haven't liked any of it but I was surprised at how crap the foundation was because Avon is usually ok for this sort of make up. This one is Ivory and it comes out of the tube so thick that I couldn't blend it at all even using a make up sponge or my fingers and it's gloopy as it comes out as well so you cant get a nice finish any way. Even though the shade was perfect for my skin tone it still looked like I was wearing too much foundation and it has a horrible sticky feeling on my face that made me feel proper itchy all day. It looked dead shiny even when I put powder over the top of it and felt heavy on my skin like I was wearing pan stick and made me look like a clown. I couldn't blend it into my jawline and when I got a bit on my eyebrows I had to take it all off and start again because I couldn't get it out without smudging the foundation round the top of my eye. I thought it was dead hard to apply my make up over the foundation because its so sticky and thick and I looked like I was the worst person in the world at putting make up on when Im not. I get a few spots on my forehead and the foundation didn't help cover them and I think it made them look worse because it smeared round them and drawed attention to the blemishes. It costs £12.00 and thats not even cheap and its such a bad foundation that i can't understand why Avon charge so much for it because my Max Factor foundation is brill and that only costs £9.00
I'm a big fan of avon products so its no surprise I purchased this item when it was first introduced. However it was one of the worst buys I have made in the foundation world. First of all perfect wear foundations are supposed to cleverly adapt to ones skin tone,so even if a person is a shade lighter or darker than the foundation, its pigments adjust...not so!The shade I bought appeared similar to my skin tone ,but once applied looked very unnatural and thick. The product also gets very greasy on the skin(and even the bottle needed to be shaken vigorously often to prevent the oils and cream seperating)I've had to blot my face sevral times throughout the day when wearing this products, leaving me with strange patches(not a nice experience) I'd say that other foundations by Avon do a much better job. This may be useful buy for someone with drier skin or for someone who can find the perfect shade match but from my experience it is not worth the five pounds I spent on it. Avon make products which are wanted and admired by women and I feel that this product is one of the very few that isn't.
Being a Avon repesentitive myself I thought it was about time I tryed the products out. Normally I get Maybelline matte mousse foundation but this tended too dry my skin out so i decided to have a change. I got it on offer for £5 as it was normally £10.. which i think is very overpriced for saying Avon is not a very good branded name. I bought the lighest shade of ivory as I am quite pale skinned. When i applied it went on very thick and heavy and I couldnt blend in very well around my jaw line and forehead. The colour was very orange and wasnt a nice shade at all for my skin. It made my skin very dry on my forehead and under the eye on my cheeks. EXTRALASTING?? NOWAY... everytime i looked down at my white tshirt there was a bit more foundation that had smudged on off my face.. very disappointing. I think i will stick too my normal foundation and i wont bother with Avons foundation again!
This foundation was ok but I found it a bit heavy on my skin. It also seemed to dry my skin out a bit even though it was quite dewy on my skin, which is a shame because it put me off using it and I only wore it 5 or 6 times before giving up! I haven't got pale skin but I'm not exactly tanned either, and even though I bought the lightest shade it still looked quite orangey on my face. It also rubbed off on clothing, so for the short time that I used it I avoided wearing both light AND dark coloured clothing in case I accidently touched / rubbed my face. I was dissapointed because in general I quite like Avons products, having said that I do only buy them when they have a special offer on as I feel they are over priced for what they are!
Long wearing liquid foundation for an all day smooth look /
