==Overview==

Perfect Wear Liquid Eyeliner from AVON has been around for many years in various packaging, essentially the product has remained the same. It costs around £7 but it is regularly on offer for 2 for £7 or 2 for £8. something like that so you can pick it up for around £4. It comes in black, navy and brown and is a liquid eyeliner rather than a smudgey pencil. You can see from the picture that it has a stubby pot with the eyeliner in it and a long handle for the brush with a short stubby brush on the end.

==My opinion==

Out of all the liquid eyeliners that I have used this is one of the easiest to apply and had it not been for this eyeliner introducing me to the wonders of liquid eyeliner I would have to say that I may not have ever mastered the wobble-free hand of liquid eyeliners. Rather than being a bristley brush, the "brush" is actually made out of some sort of material, think of a hard felt tip (a bit like a Sharpie pen but slightly more flexible) and you've got the idea of what it is made out of. This means that there are no stray brush bits going wild over your lashes and it makes it quite easy to have a steady hand and a straight line as you can concentrate on the line rather than on what in the heck the brush is doing.

The liner doesn't dry out in the pot like some liquid eyeliner pens can do (the ones where the "ink" is in the barrel) and therefore this lasts a long time and gives excellent value for money, particularly when similar items from other makeup brands can be at least £10 more expensive.

I want to write and say that the colour stays put for a good while on the eye, pretty much all day but that would be a bit of a white lie. I'm not sure if it is just my eye but after a day at work I find that the middle bit of the line seems to have vanished and I'm left with a thin line above, a blank bit and then a thin line by my lashes which doesn't look too strange until you look closely and then it looks a bit whacky. For this reason I've had to search out another liquid eyeliner (MAC) which stays put but doesn't have the excellent brush that the AVON eyeliner has. It is worth noting that this isn't waterproof either which doesn't bother me but may bother some.

==Overall==

I do like this eyeliner, it really does have a brilliant brush and if you are new to liquid eyeliner I'd have to recommend you start with this. However, the wearing of the colour over the course of the day can be a bit of a problem and I feel undecided about whether to recommend it or not. It really has as many negatives as benefits. I guess if you aren't looking for an expensive liner and want something that will last a few hours, give this a go but if you want it to last a while you will need to re-apply or invest in a different brand. I'm still glad I bought this liner and bought it for a good few years until I needed it to be longer lasting. Hopefully this review will let you make your own mind up about buying it for your own makeup needs.

Summary: Probably wouldn't buy again.
