Advantages: Easy to apply, has staying power
Disadvantages: The black isn't all that dark in colour
I love liquid eyeliners and I own loads of them! I'm forever running out though cos I use so much of them! However I do like them easy to use and this shown in the Avon catalogue showed it to have a fibre tip nib to it which to my way of thinking looked easy to use! I like dark vampy eyes not smudged or messy one's after-all and some I own are well difficult to get looking right! lol.
The Packaging....
Long black plastic 'pen' shape with twist on off lid/cap/wand to the top of it. Down the side of it I'm told it's Avon 'Perfect Wear' and there's a drawing of an eye all in metallic silver. On the back of the pen I'm told it's black in colour (it's also available in a brown option) and contact details for Avon are clearly given. It's a really nice looking and good quality looking product! When you first receive it, it comes with a plastic wrapper over it which again tells you what it is and who it's by and the colour is stated and some information is given in foreign languages (and I have no idea what that all says lol).
Using It....
Well you simply twist off the lid/cap and your met with a fairly long but sturdy fibrous pen type nib that is saturated in colour though not drippy or messy at all to use. All you do is simply use it as you would any other type of eyeliner and that's line your eyes with it of course!
Talk about easy to do so! If your worried or anxious about using a liquid eyeliner than this is the product for you. The colour comes out thinly and isn't thick, heavy, greasy or agitating and all you do is line your eyes and if you want a darker, thicker look simply apply more as in add coats! It goes on dewy and sets within seconds meaning no transfer at all and it's really easy to get a polished and framed look in seconds and you can create the look you want to with it.
Now as I have said this is easy to use and I feel that this is because it isn't a heavy formulation at all. However for me the colour black isn't rich enough! I want a liquid eyeliner for dramatic night-time eyes and this....well it isn't that. It's nice enough for day-time use but for big black bat-winged eyes that make an entrance? No it's not harsh enough for that and is more kind of natural than it is statement making.
It is a really good quality alternative to a traditional eyeliner however. Once it's on the eyes it looks smooth with no feathering or sitting in places you'd rather it not and it is kind of professional looking and it's really hard to make mistakes using this! It doesn't cake the eyes, doesn't make my sensitive eyes tingle or hurt (even over time) and looks bright and fresh all day long giving me no issues at all and removing it is simple as well. In fact I find this easier to remove than a traditional pencil due to it's very light formulation and if the pen dries up a bit over time just shake it!
I'm glad I bought this for day-time use as I love the ease of use of it and it's staying power but it won't be going into my party eye kit any time soon sadly!
Only available from Avon priced at £6.00 a tube.
Summary: A really simple to use liquid eyeliner!
