“ Brand: Avon / Type: Eyeliners / Suitable for: Eye „
I never used to be keen on liquid eyeliner, but these ones changed my mind! I have this product in Olive (a brighter green than you might expect), Amber (more like bronze than it looks in the catalogue), Storm (very dark blue), and a light blue of which I can't remember the name.
The applicator is not a brush like most liquid eyeliners; it is more like a felt tip. This makes it much easier to apply. The felt tip is not too hard or soft, and is just flexible enough to allow a neat and precise line to be drawn exactly where you want it. The consistency of the eyeliner is just right, so it goes on smoothly, and only needs one coat for a vivid and even effect.
Once dry, the eyeliner looks bold and quite glossy. It stays on well, but is quite easy to remove. My only niggle is that my sensitive eyes don't like me to use it more than a couple of days in a row - they start to itch and sting if I do. However, this happens to me with most liquid eyeliners, and this is one of the least irritating I've come across.
This product gives a fab effect, and I just wish more colours were available! It's usually about £5, and well worth it, but often even more of a bargain as part of Avon's many offers.
When I brought my Glimmer Powder Eye Shadow from Avon I also got some Precision Glimmer Eyeliners in simlar shades because they too were half price at £2.50 each in the book.
The eyeliner comes in a little pot that the applicator sits in. I like the applicator because it's long enough for me to hold properly and securely and that is important when using liquid eyeliner because the slightest tremble in your hand can ruin your make up.
My favourite one is the Storm one because its a rich dark blue and it goes with most of the eye shadows in my collection. It dries quicker than I thought possible and I cant feel it on my eyelids after I have put it on and let it dry.
I have also got another 2 which are Amber and Charcoal. The charcoal one is an off black colour that is just like any other black liquid eyeliner but the amber one is a v. rich brown orange colour that looks very up to date and trendy. I think older women would not look right in the amber eyeliner but the rest of the shades would suit anyone I think.
I like how easy it is to get a distinct line with this eyeliner because the brush is just right and it's not a loose brush like most eyeliners but has an end a bit like a felt tip pen and the handle is long enough to be held properly. The eyeliner goes on smooth and there are no clumps or dried up bits in the pot even though I am not right good at putting the tops on tight.
I think these eyeliners are brill and I wish Avon would bring out some more colours. I'd love the gold one dooyoo have got the picture of but that one isn't in any of the Avon books I've looked at but I will deffo keep looking for that one cos it looks so cool.
Loving my liquid eyeliners the way I do when leafing through the Avon catalogue and spotting these on offer for £2.50 (at the moment) rather than the usual £5 a product price tag they usually carry I couldn't resist actually buying a couple of them! I told you I love liquid eyeliners and so I purchased Charcoal and Storm and had to hold myself back from buying the other three colours available (Olive, Amber and Dune) as well but I thought I'd better had try them out before investing in the lot! lol.
15ml plastic tube that is the colour of the product you choose in a tapered tube with a long black handle that screws on/off to one end of it. On the main body of it in silver writing I'm told it is Avon, Precision Glimmer and there is a drawn on small drawing of an eye. On the base of the product there is a small, white round sticky label and on that colour is stated as is the size (as I've listed already) and contact details for Avon are given. Nice enough packaging and it looks quite quality!
Well the colour is stored in the base of the product and to use it you simply untwist the handle and your met by a short plastic 'wand' which has a slightly stiff but movable thin black brush which is firm thought not to hard.
It's coated in colour and that colour is quite thick and glossy though easy to work with and I'm impressed that it's reasonably thick but not gloopy and never have I found any lumps or yukky bits in it even after owning mine quite a while.
Simply line your eyes with this, over the top of existing make up or whatever. It's easy to use and create the effects you want but of course if your a little unconfident use a guide of kohl eyeliner lightly first and paint over the top using this which I find the easiest way of getting my eyes framed.
I find this glides on smooth, doesn't feather into imperfections on your face and goes on evenly. It dries in seconds and once dried I cant feel it on my eyes at all as really it isn't heavy or drying out or anything and it's none smudging once dried. I find these don'''t irritate my eyes at all, stay put brilliantly and removes easy enough with your usual make-up removing routine.
These comes in a nice selection of colours and are quite easy to apply and remove. They are high quality, you can correct mistakes easily if made and I like the simplicity and results these give and love the selection of colours available too!
