Advantages: Versatile, great colour, easy to use
Disadvantages: None
I recently bought this eyeshadow for £2 on offer from the Avon brochure. It normally costs £5 when not on offer.
It comes in a nice little pot similar in style to a nail varnish pot, with a long handle sticking out of the top. The pot has the powder in and you screw off the handle to reveal the sponge applicator which comes out with the powder on it ready to use.
The shadow is really easy to apply with the sponge applicator, which is shaped to a point at the end so you can use it to line the eyes or for all over colour. It goes on smoothly and evenly, and I find it doesn't drop colour as much as most loose powder shadows, so it's not messy to apply.
There's quite a good choice of shades to choose from. The one I chose was golden turquoise, which is a really lovely bright shade of turquoise blue. The colour looks great on and it's easy to get either a subtle shimmery wash of colour, or layer it up for a bolder look. It's not overly shimmery, so it can be worn easily for daytime as well as night time looks.
It feels smooth and soft and it lasts really well, and I don't find it creases or fades, even through a night on the town. It stays put until you want to remove it, but then it's easy to remove with any eye make-up remover.
I think this is a really versatile, easy to use eyeshadow, and I'll be buying it in more colours.
Summary: Will buy again
