I am always one of the first to try out a produc from Avon and when I first saw this particular product advertised on the television, I was really excited by the concept and couldn't wait for it to be launched.

I reckon a lot of you are familiar with the product already however for those of you that are not familiar with it, I will give you a short overview.

The Avon SPectracolour Lipstick is the first lipstick in which you can obtain 7 shades off your chosen colour in just one lipstick. With two colours in the lipstick, the palest and the darkest of the shade, youhave the opportunity to use the settings at the bottom of the lipstick to choose your preferred shade of what you want to use, therefore you are guaranteed to get one or two shades that you use all the time. When you have chosen your preferred shade then you just pump the bottom of the lipstick and the colours are mixed together inside and dispensed through the very tiny holes in the top of the product.

I can't complain about the shades in this product, I opted for pink however there are several colours that you can chose from which suit your comlexion and skin tones, or just which you prefer. THe colours that are mixed come out really nice and in that respect make it a good product.

The downside of this product is however it lipstick that comes out, come out neither as a lipstick or a lip gloss and the only thing that I could call it or compare it too would be like a mousse like substance, which when applying to lips neither goes goes on evenly or makes your lips look how you would want them to and in my opinion it has come across as a little bit of a disappointment.

The concept of the product is great and if the colour that came out was just as good it would be a great product, however it is not and is a let down in my opinion. For £10 full price in the Avon brochure, on occasion you can get it for £5 I would prefer to get a lipgloss in one colour until they step up the quality of this product and make it worth buying.
