Advantages: Takes up less space

Disadvantages: Setting 3 is awful

When I saw this mascara advertised, I have to admit at getting quite excited. Three mascaras in one would clear up quite a bit of space in my make up bag and I could refill it with new items!!!

Me and my sister in law both purchased this from the same Avon book at the same time, as it was on special offer, I think we both paid £5 each. It now sells in the books for £10.

When it arrived, I was quite excited. The tube is rather thick, and on the bottom is a little purple turn wheel type thing. The wheel is supposed to click into position. There are three positions, one, two and three. I found that rather than click into place, my wheel just kind of 'nudged' in, and I have to be careful when using it that I dont knock it out of position.

So, I set the wheel to number one, and started to apply. The mascara was pretty thick, but on the lowest setting, it wasnt too heavy and looked quite light.
I then turned the wheel up to number three, and began to apply to my other eye to compare the differences. This is when I noticed that the mascara was getting heavy and gloopy. It applied to my lashes very thickly, but glopped up, and I had to try and wipe some off the brush and go over my lashes trying to remove the clumps.

When I had done, I looked to compare the differences. I was disappointed. The second eye looked as though I had used a different mascara altogether. My lashes were thick, spidery and I still had clumps everywhere. It was also very wet and I had to avoid blinking for ages before it dried enough to not leave little black blodges all over my eyes.
When it did dry, it quickly became flaky, rubbed off very easily and left me with black smudges everywhere.

To remove was no easy task either. All my mascaras I tend to be able to wipe off easily with baby wipes, but for this I had to pull out the make up remover wipes. It then took two wipes to remove the mascara from just one eye!

I do still use this mascara now and then, mainly on the first setting, although I do sometimes creep up to number two for a night out,as its slightly heavier than one but nowhere near as heavy as three!
Is it worth it? No, not really. I would much rather have three seperate mascaras that all did the job properly.

Summary: I'll stick with seperates
