Avon Speed Dry Nail Enamel

Advantages: dries quickly, has a nice shimmery effect, often on offer, lasting

Disadvantages: need two coats

I bought this Avon speed dry nail polish a while ago, when I saw it on offer in the Avon brochure. I think I paid around £2.00 for it, but its usual retail price is £6.00.
It is currently on offer for £2.99.
It comes in a 12ml bottle and it is currently available in 11 different shades on Avon's website, www.avonshop.co.uk.
You can also order from your local Avon representative through the Avon brochure.

~ Appearance ~
The nail polish comes in a rectangular shaped clear glass bottle. The bottle is tall and flat with a tall black plastic lid, which is about an inch tall on top of the nail polish.
On the front of the bottle there is a clear sticker with 'Avon Speed Dry nail enamel' on it and also tells us that there is 12ml of nail polish in this bottle.
The bottom of the nail polish has a small round white sticker on it with Avon's UK address and the name of the shade on it.
My nail polish is called limeade and it is a shimmery light green colour.

~ Use ~
The nail polish is easy to apply and looks nice, shimmery and almost pearly on my nails.
Avon have said of this product, 'High impact colour that dries in less then 30 seconds. Specially designed brush delivers just the right amount of formula, so there's no mess and no fuss.'
I would say that this nail polish does dry quicker than most nail polishes I have used.
The brush appears to be the same as that on Avon's other ranges of nail polish, perhaps a little bit thinner, but I wouldn't bet on it.
The nail polish is a nice colour. It is quite subtle. It almost looks like a shimmery silver colour, with a touch on green in it.
It is very reflective.
I do find that I need to apply two coats of this to ensure that it does not look translucent on my nails, but I think this is because it is such a light colour.
The nail polish feels smooth on your nails. I would say that the nail polish lasts around 2-3 days before beginning to chip or wear off, which I think is pretty good. I very rarely achieve more than 3 days with any nail polish.
I'd definitely buy this nail polish again, but I wouldn't pay full price unless I really liked the colour as Avon's nail polishes are nearly always on offer.
I'd recommend this nail polish. I usually find, when nail polishes claim to dry quickly, that they actually don't, but this one really is quicker than your average. Although I give mine longer than 30 seconds before checking that it is dry.

Summary: A nice quick nail polish
