Last year for my birthday, my auntie gave me an overnight case (pink with leopard print lining!) full of little bits of make-up. I unwrapped numerous nail varnishes, pots of eye shadow and lip-glosses and was very happy with it all. Then when I came to use the case a couple of months later, I unzipped one of the pockets and another wrapped present rolled out! It was such a surprise and I was really happy when I opened it up...It was a large tube of Avon Mascara.

The packaging of the mascara is quite plain, the tube is all black with turquoise shiny writing on the side, which says the name. The best thing about this mascara is the brush. I struggle with mascaras usually because it is hard to find the balance between a non-clumpy one, but one that gives me separation and volume at the same time!
It is a large brush, bigger than one I would usually get for myself, but I actually really like it. It has hard, but flexible comb-like bristles which separate each eyelash, so instead of clumping together, they stand alone, and this makes the whole lash line look fuller and thicker. This is a massive bonus for me. I usually use only one coat of this mascara as it does really coat my eyelashes from top to bottom in one go, however if I wanted a really full on look, I know I could use two coats to achieve it.

The mascara itself lasts well, although I do tend to notice it becomes quite dry and flakes towards the end of the day. I have never had any problems with this smudging though and even when it gets wet it seems to have good staying power. I know I will be re-buying this product and I'm very glad I found it.
