I treated myself to 3 of these Eyeshadow Quads from Avon's True Colour range and even though they were £8.00 each I think they are proper good value for money because they come in a smart compact and the colours are all really nice and up to date.

For your money you get 4 colours in each compact, a sponge applicator and the compact also has a big mirror under the lid that gives a true reflection and is excellent for applying my eyeshadow on the go.

The sponge applicator isn't that good but then they never are in compacts like this so I just use my normal slanted eyeshadow brush and that is perfect for applying any eyeshadow including the ones in this range.

All the eyeshadows give quite an intense colour and have a very good coverage even from the very first sweep of my eyeshadow brush, apart from the ones that are supposed to be subtle like the one pale one in each colour quad that acts as a highlighter more than a colour. They last very well, the pink quad isn't quite as long lasting as the others but it's good enough for daytime wear. They don't crease or fade over the day either and that's wicked news because it means that for £8.00 I've got 4 eyeshadows that all the colours match well together but they last longer and look loads better than some I brought from Clinique that cost me over £20.00 a few months ago.

The quads I have are:-

PINK SANDS

In this compact there's a brown, beige, pink and peach. You can use each of the colours alone or mix them to create different looks, all of them are quite pale but can be built up easily. I think this selection fades loads quicker than the rest of them but it doesn't bother me because these are daytime colours and I don't really care how long lasting my make up is during the day.

MOCHA LATTE

This is 3 browns and a peachy beige, but they are very pretty browns that look especially good when they are all used together with the peachy one used as a highlighter. The dark brown is my very fave shade out of this compact and it suits my colouring good even though browns usually don't look right on my quite pale skin.

SMOKEY EYES

My fave compact out of the 3 I own because all the eyeshadows can be used together to create a sultry smokey look. It's a pink, silver, dark grey and off white set of colours that look wicked together and mega up to date. These shades last the best too and don't crease at all, I wore them on a night out last week and when I got home they looked as good as when I'd first applied them.
