Advantages: Looks stunning

Disadvantages: Glitter gets everywhere & its expensive

Every girl needs a good blusher brush. Having something that actually applies the blusher as evenly as possible is ideal. I have tried several different brushes of all shapes and angles over the years. I find the cheaper ones generally lead to the bristles falling out and the more expensive ones are ok but sometimes paying the price bankrupts you in the bid for a good blusher! I was given B's blusher brush as a birthday gift a few years ago as the person giving it to me knew I liked B and didn't want to risk giving me bath products, which in itself is a nice idea! In the Poole store the brushes are kept in a huge glass vase and are carefully wrapped in cellophane to try and keep the glitter from getting everywhere. I have always loved the look of these brushes but never bought one because of the high price tag.

B Never Too Busy To Be Beautiful's Blusher Brush is doubtless the most gorgeous on the face of the planet. However, it is also by far the most impractical. Though touting a professional price, I can assure you that not a single professional makeup artist would dare opt to use this brush, let alone allow it to come anywhere near their makeup case for even a millisecond.

Encrusted with glitter and faux gemstones (just like some of their makeup products such as the lip gloss and eye shadows), B's Blusher Brush is best left unused as a mere display item on your vanity, and even then, it is sure to shed glitter wherever it may lay - surely this is an expense we could all do without! Without fail, a billion sparkles cover everything they touch (or come close to touching), they will cling to your makeup bag, nestle themselves in other brushes' bristles, and even fall into your powder blusher during application. Now I am all for a little bit of glitter now and again but not everytime I come to apply makeup.

As you hold this brush (which comes in many different colours, mine being fuchsia), brightly coloured glints settle onto your hands, certain to make their way onto your face. I have yet to leave the house without at least one randomly placed hot pink piece of glitter on my cheeks, eyes, chin, you name it. Once this happens, good luck trying to remove it, worst case scenario is that you have to altogether remove your makeup and start over (not that this helps in preventing new flecks from magically appearing during reapplication).

And goodness forbid you get face makeup from your hands onto the handle, unless you wish to scrub it down to its unspangled bones, you're stuck with small stains embedded in nooks and crannies, this not being terribly hygienic in the long run. For all their blushing, brushing beauty, B should seriously consider covering these grittily textured handles with a smooth coating of clear enamel to preserve both creative and practical design and then this would enable these brushes to be actually used as they were intended and no doubt they would probably be the best blusher brush around. The bristles are soft and sleek and just the right length and volume to apply blusher easily it's just a shame about its jeweled flaws.

As it stands now, however, despite this brush containing rich, plush, top quality synthetic (they used to use goat hair) hair bristles (albeit occasionally prone to falling out but what blusher brush doesn't shed a few?), it is virtually unusable. For a similar price, you're better off turning to MAC or Chanel, where you can get a professional quality brush that's guaranteed to last a lifetime, making makeup application easier rather than harder. Fortunately I didn't spend the money on this brush so I don't feel too hard done by and it takes its place on my vanity but I do have a MAC brush which looks pretty good and is practical! Besides, what's more important, using a brush that looks good, or using a brush that makes you look good? I'll leave you to make that decision for yourself.

What B say:-

"Full and softly shaped for sculpting cheekbones"

A blusher brush from B will set you back a whopping £18.60. I would advise that you stick to looking at them in store and buy a MAC brush which is far more sensible for the money!

Summary: Dont buy it!
