Bare Escentuals BareMinerals is brought to you by a company called Cosmeceuticals, who also own the likes of Skin Doctors, MD Formulations, Vitage and many other brands but those being the most well known and popular.

The first thing that Bare Escentuals introuduced was their BareMinerals SPF 15 Foundation in 1976, and since then Bare Escentuals has created creamy, feather-light color for all over your face, cheeks and eyes. They have a complete line of loose, powder-like products which are 100% pure BareMinerals.

All BareMinerals products are made from 100% pure minerals and only use only the finest ingredients in their products. BareMinerals make up mostly comes in powder form and these are made with crushed minerals from the earth, 100% pure bareMinerals is free of preservatives, talc, oil, fragrance and other potential skin irritants; is free of fillers and binders; is weightless; provides adjustable coverage - from light to full and will improve the condition of the skin over time. BareMinerals products are suitable for all ages and skin types and conditions and BareMinerals can be particularly beneficial to those who suffer with skin sensitivities, allergies, scars, blemishes, rosacea, wrinkles and pigmentation problems such as vitaligo and chloasma - a condition suffered by many pregnant ladies.

It is America's number 1 selling foundation and also the number 1 mineral make up brand in the world, proving that it must be good. It is slowly coming into more salons and getting more of the deserved publicity it should in the UK. Quite a few salons, I have found mainly in the Midlands stock BareMinerals, and the salon I work in does also, and has done for several years - the customers love it! Since using Bare Escentuals make up on my face, I would never use anything else and I know alot of customers feel the same. I think it is the best make up out there by far.

I was first introduced to this product when they sold it in a salon I worked in. I had a consultation with one of the girls and she recommended Medium Beige to me, which is the most popular colour with most people.

When doing this however never test foundation on your hand, this is never the same colour as your face, always test on your face or your neck for the perfect match. I was always used to wearing alot of foundation, so changing to BareMinerals was quite a big step as it doesn't feel like you're wearing any make up, which I felt was quite daunting at first, but I quickly got used to it.

It is recommended that you use Bare Escentuals Full Coverage Face Brush when applying the foundation to your skin. I would actually agree with this recommendation, as I do find it makes a real difference and maximises the effect on your skin. To apply True, first of all swirl the brush inside the lid, absorbing a small amount of the foundation onto your brush, tap to remove the excess and then buff the powder onto your skin. You can apply as much as you like, but it is best to apply a small amount and add to it if you feel necessary. BareMinerals foundation really makes a difference to the colour of your skin, you only need a small amout and it perfectly highlights your good features on your face, giving you a natural and flawless finish. Your skin feels soft to the touch and looks radiant when wearing it. It covers any imperfections and gives an even colour skin tone. The foundation makes your skin appear younger by softening and minimising your fine lines. Its super concealing power covers blemishes, scars, sun damage, rosacea, acne and discolouration. My skin colouring is very uneven, its red in some places and BareMinerals foundation perfectly masks this, it makes my skin look like it is all the same colour whilst still providing a natural look. It doesn't cling to your skin and look cakey, instead it looks even, smooth and natural. You don't end up with a line between your face and neck like you do with a lot of make ups, providing more reason for the foundation to look so natural on your skin. It also does not transfer onto clothes, so you don't have to worry about transferring it onto your boyfriends clothes! All BareMinerals products are suitable for all skin types - oily, dry, combination and sensitive as it has factors to suit all those skin types. As it is in a powder form it is great for oily skin, as it absorbs the excess oil without it showing, sticking and looking cakey on your skin. If your skin gets oily whilst on, you can just buff over and it absorbs the oil. BareMinerals foundation is a light weight feathery powder, which doesn't cling to your skin and doesn't highlight any dry patches, it glides over these areas and makes your skin look even and fresh. As it contains all natural mineral ingredients only it is suitable for sensitive skin, it doesn't contain any preservatives, talc, oil, fragrance and other potential skin irritants and is free of fillers and binders, which makes the perfect foundation for sensitive skin. I suffer from ecezma on my face and this is the only make up I can wear on it without it sticking to it and causing irritation and swelling. It also is fantastic for covering up any marks on your skin and patches of ecezma and such things, it doesn't cling to it and perfectly masks any marks, covering them up without you being able to see the make up on it.

BareMinerals cannot be compared to other mineral make ups that have recently come onto the market such as loreal, other products do not contain pure minerals, they still contain nasty ingredients so it's not good for your skin and they don't even look good on your skin either.

The foundation is long lasting, and it isn't necessary to reapply like other foundations. Although if I am going out, I will remove my make up and reapply ready for a night out, this isn't necessary however, and you can just apply another coat ontop, this won't build up and look obvious, it will just refresh your look. It is easy to remove, you can use cleanser, make up remover or facial wipes. As it is pure minerals, BareMinerals foundation is actually okay to sleep in - it won't bring you out in spots as it allows your skin to breathe whilst on and does not clog your pores. Obviously it is best to sleep with no make up on whatsover, but if you forget or don't have anything to remove it with then it doesn't matter.

Being a powder it is quite annoying to use as it can get everywhere, and as it is so expensive you don't want to waste any! I find the foundation lasts me about a month, which for the price isn't too long, but I do use a lot of make up as I like to have full coverage because my skin is awful, but because it is so good I really don't mind paying the price, it's so fantastic that once you use it you'll never go back. When I had once run of out my Bare Minerals Foundation I had to use my previous liquid foundation to give me some cover for the day, it looked truley awful, it was obvious, patchy and made my skin look oily. Bare Minerals is truely a sensational product. I thought it was really expensive at first, but now I couldn't live without it and always have to make sure I have a good stock of them in the house!

The foundation costs £24 for a 3oz pot. It can be found quite regularly on QVC and such channels, and they also show you tips and how to use it correctly, they sell the foundation along with other Bare Escentuals products and sometimes you can get a good bargain. I tend to buy mine from www.lookfantastic.com or a salon stocking BareMinerals products. You can buy Bare Escentuals Gift Packs, which come with a foundation, bronzer or blusher, concealer cream and a foundation. blusher and concealer brush, it also comes with a interactive guide on cd so if you are new to this product I would recommend this kit, as it also makes the products work out cheaper. These can often be purchased from QVC or from the BareMinerals website. These kits work out at about £50, so you are saving money.

Although BareMinerals may take a little time to adjust to, it is really worth it and once you chance to BareMinerals, you won't go back. It is by the far the best make up I have found and is even good for your skin. It is light and featherweight and looks natural on your skin. It is quite expensive but is really worth it.
