Advantages: Natural, long lasting, range of colours, suitable for sensitive skin
Disadvantages: Expensive
Description
This is a mineral foundation in powder form with a built in sun protection factor of 15. It's 100% pure and is touted as being so pure you can even sleep in it. It gives perfect coverage for all skin types, and because it's so natural it's suitable for even the most sensitive skin. It should be applied with a kabuki brush using 'buffing' motions.
Pros
- Can be built up from a light to a full coverage, and it does provide excellent coverage on all types of blemishes
- Looks really natural when applied correctly, even with a full coverage
- Doesn't leave skin feeling heavy or clogged. You can't even tell you're wearing it.
- Easy to apply, though it does take some getting used to
- Lasts all day and still looks flawless
- You don't need to use much so a pot lasts ages
- Good colour range. My skin tone is usually impossible to find a perfect match for, but the 'fairly light' shade is just that.
Cons
- You'll need to invest in some good quality brushes to get the most from it
- It is very expensive at £24 for a 3oz pot
- Can take some time to get used to how to apply it correctly
- The amount of buffing it takes to blend on certain areas sometimes leaves my skin feeling a little sore
- The pot is not suitable for taking out with you or leaving in a makeup bag as it really needs to stay upright or you'll end up with the stuff everywhere when you open the pot
Summary
This is by far the best foundation I've ever used. It does everything I could ask of it and then some. Just don't give up on it if you find it difficult to apply or think it doesn't suit you to begin with. Persevere with it and it will pay off.
Summary: A high quality foundation
