I received a Bare Escentuals Big Tease mascara in black as part of a special edition kit. If buying it separately it costs just over £10 for a standard 8g size, which is cheaper than my usual brand Lancome. It is now available in brown too, but it is quite hard to get hold of and is mainly available in special edition kits at the moment.
The big tease mascara wand is unusual as it has two sides: a short bristled side for adding volume and a longer, comb-like side for adding length and separating lashes. First of all I wiggle the short bristled side from the base of my lashes to the ends then I flip the brush over and sweep the comb-like side through my lashes.
I don't find the look it gives any more dramatic than my usual Lancome mascara, and it takes twice as long to apply as you have to use both sides of the wand. I also found that I kept accidentally poking the wand in my eye. It also leaves a few clumps of mascara in my eyelashes and by the end of the day some of the mascara has given me a 'panda eye' look. It's fairly easy to wash off with basic soap and water.
One tube didn't last me very long either, as it seemed to dry out after a few months. Overall I was very disappointed with this mascara as I love most of the Bare Escentuals products. I will be sticking with my usual Lancome mascaras.
