Alongside the Bare Escentuals foundation, I also own the flawless foundation brush, for application of previously reviewed foundations! Firstly, I would like to say, that I don't believe that you need to buy the branded brush for each type of make up, and that I believe that generally all brushes are interchangeable (provided they are cleaned). **The Brush** The brush comes with a chunky black handle, which means it is easy to grip. The length of the brush is similar to a pencil, and as such I feel that you have greater control over the brush as you are able to grip this will your whole hand. Of course, this can occassionally be a downfall if you ... Read the complete review

I was lucky enough to receive a Bare Minerals start up set for Christmas and one of the items in it was this very brush. Judging by the price of this brush by itself approx £15 and the rest of the items, buying a set is by far the cheapest way to do it. As the sum of all the parts is more than double the set. The brush is around 12cm long. It has a shiny black handle, with the name of its make engraved into it with silver coloured writing. Above which is a silver coloured metal part, which accounts for around the third of the brush, after which comes a large amount of bristles. The bristles are incredibly soft. They soak up a lot of the product ... Read the complete review

If you are a fan of mineral make up and have invested in one of the starter packs, you will be aware that they come with a couple of brushes for you to get on with. Bare Escentuals are essentially an American company who, for the past 30 plus years have sold mineral make up and accessories, first in the USA, then all over the world. Mineral make up claims to be all natural, made from crushed minerals without any nasty items in them. "The natural, soft-tapered bristles of the brush are designed to provide light to medium coverage for a broad range of easy, professional looking applications with bareMinerals...." I used to use ... Make up brushes have only recently been introduced to me since my friend has been training as a make up artist. She managed to give me the hard sell on them and I went to purchase a relatively cheap foundation brush for my liquid foundation a few months ago. I was really surprised at the difference it made, so when the lady working for Bare Minerals recommended that I buy one to apply Warmth (reviewed separately), I was keen to do so. Bare Minerals are an American branded company who specialise in mineral based products (if you couldn't have guessed!) which they claim have no detrimental effect on your skin and that you can in fact sleep in their products. ... I purchased this brush with my Bare Minerals foundation as it was recommended by the lady on the Bare Minerals counter. She said it would help to apply my foundation more evenly, although I'm not too sure that it does. I noticed that when I dipped it into the lid to get the foundation on the brush much of the powder didn't actually get onto the brush. When I swept it around, the bristles seemed to push some of the powder out of the lid therefore wasting it. When I actually got some onto the brush and went to apply it to my face I wasn't particularly impressed. The brush only gave a glaze of coverage even when going over my face a lot of times. I ...
