Are you a fan / avid user of Bare Escentuals? No time like the present. The best thing about Bare Escentials is that its all natural ingredients so you don't have to worry about putting unfriendly chemicals on to your skin. It boasts ingredients like Aloe Barbadensis Leaf Extract, Chamomilla Recutita Flower Extract etc.

What's it for: Yyou know how if your skin isn't 100% hydrated or slightly dry from the unforgiving wind and sometimes a powder can add to the flaws rather than hide them? For me i get the tell tail slightly dry skin under my eyes from where the icy wind makes them water. Well this Primer covers all of that up. Don't get me wrong, this is not instead of your daily moisturiser, it just helps to make your face look even and glowing - not porcelain or alternatively dry and cracked. Its a natural finish but just looks better than applying powder without the aid of this.

The Packaging: It comes in a little 30ml bottle with a little plunge applicator so you cannot use too much. Personally, i don't even plunge the top all the way down, it only goes to waste. The trick to get the best finish by evoking that golden oldie "less is more". And in this case, it really is. The bottle comes in a small economic-use-of-packaging box. There is a hearty description on the box, some of which informs us that this product is "a preservative-free foundation primer developed to combat flaky dryness, rough patches, fine lines, excess oil, enlarged pores and uneven textures" and that we are using a "...mineral-infused, satin-finish formula [which] glides on seamlessly with no tacky feel...". Very true. This is perfect to fit in your little over night bag and the beauty of it is that you only need to apply once. you can touch-up your make-up and the need arises but you wont need to re-do the Primer.

The Application: Its so easy. Up to one-plunge from the handy bottle, i pop it on the back of my hand, take up small amounts using my finger tip and smooth on. You don't need to rub this in, like i said, its not a moisturiser, just glide it across your skin and coax in to the drier patches. Its really incredible how well it goes on and if you look in the mirror the a light behind you, you can really see the difference it makes. The surface of your skin does appear smoother, it also sits in the hair line wrinkles that our foundations normally decides to make up camp in after a few hours. Thus eliminating the need for as much re-application of make-up if you are out straight after work.

The Finish and the Benefits: Your power sits much more evenly, for me i even end up using less because when you have a better canvas to work with you simply don't need the extra help. The finish is much smoother with the primer underneath your regular powder. If you have a very happy day where your skin cooperates and you really don't even need to wear make up then by adding a very thing layer of this primer over your moisture your skin looks radiant, its all you need to look like you have had your 8 hours and been wise enough to drink your litre a day. I have very sensitive skin so when i use B.E i know im not harming my skin or making it want to break out as punishment. Its very light weight and a definite benefit is that you really cannot feel that you are wearing it, there nothing heavy and 100% no residue.
