I've been a fan of Bare Minerals make up since I discovered it a few years ago and, while I no longer really use the powder foundation, I am still an enthusiastic user of their other make up items. My current mascara, eyeliner and eye shadow all come from a Bare Minerals kit that my mam bought me for Christmas last year, as I was really impressed with all of them. The pencil eyeliner is easy to apply for both neat and smoky looks and the white eye shadow creates a nice base for other colours as well as making you look fresher and more awake when used on its own. It is, however, the mascara that I shall be reviewing today.
== Bare Minerals Flawless Definition Mascara ==
As I said, this isn't a mascara I chose to buy but rather received as a gift, so it wasn't a premeditated acquisition. I therefore knew very little about it before using it, other than it is from a brand that I have used before and liked. I'm often sceptical of mascaras which claim to give amazing lift or definition to lashes as, although a lot of them do make lashes appear longer, more curled and generally more attractive, you do usually get the best look after using curlers or even good quality fake lashes. The fact that this mascara's name implies that it gives your lashes 'flawless definition' seemed like a pretty tall order as well.
== What I Thought ==
That said, I really like this mascara and love how it makes my lashes look. While flawless isn't exactly the right adjective, my lashes are definitely more defined and I do like the lift this mascara gives. The one I use is black and it does give my lashes a deep, noticeably darker colour than my natural lashes, which certainly makes my eyes look more attractive. The brush is quite thick but isn't really prone to clumps and mascara is spread evenly throughout it, which makes it a convenient wand to use. I use this both during the day for work or at night when going out, although I do unsurprisingly use a few more coats for an evening look.
== Conclusion ==
This is a great mascara that I'm glad to have received as a present. I would be very likely to buy it again when it runs out as I have been impressed with its results. At an RRP of £16 it's not the cheapest mascara available, but Feelunique currently have it on offer at a much more reasonable £12. You may say that's a lot to spend but it does have great effects and even 10ml of it has lasted me since Christmas and there is still some left. I highly recommend this mascara.
