      Advantages

      Disadvantages

Try in the shop, but order online to save yourself around £7.

      Hello there darlings,
Thanks for the great response to my last review, I hope this one is just as useful. Also please get in touch if you need to know anything else.

      Purchase & Packaging.
The purchase of this product was somewhat painful, I entered the shop in my town St Albans and asked, 'Do you have a powder that is around £12 and translucent?' I was told, or rather instructed, that they did not but that I should spend £20 for the 'all natural ingredients' and 'you only need to use a tiny bit.' After this pressure I agreed I would take the powder despite not having my questions and the sales assistant did not offer to apply any to test. I was not offered a bag, but handed a loyalty card- where by if you buy 6 Bare Minerals products you can expect to receive a 'free gift'...I can't see that happening honey!

The packaging I must say is rather great, you remove the black lid, then twist the top of the clear jar- exposing 5 or 10 small holes which release the powder that you should pour into the lid. The instructions come with the product and will explain this.

      Price.
I was not too pleased about spending £20 on a powder from an American brand, I don't think I'll be doing this again, please read the rest of the review before making your own decision as I am not saying that the product was not worth £20!

      Application.
OK, to start with the application was a nightmare. The fact the sales assistant had said so few words to me meant I was focussing on the little information I had received, 'you only use a tiny bit' so thats what I did and the results were terrible. The application instructions were difficult with my brush being as large as the lid it meant all the powder was collected when I placed my brush in the lid. I decided to stop focussing on instructions and just use as much as I wanted as not fuss around swooshing, and tapping, and whatever else.

      Look.
The look of this powder is matte without altering the colour of you skin or foundation. I would say the translucent powder is too pale for some, but it is available in a darker colour. I did not think the look was particularly impressive at first, but over the next few days I received compliments from three different friends on different occasions. Each was about the skin looking fresh, blemish free, and pore-less. After these I examined my skin further and did notice these attributes. I am not a person with perfect skin, far from it, so these reactions from my friends have proved that the powder does improve the look of the skin!

      Feel.
The feel is very light and smooth. I was not aware of the powder being on my face, which I enjoyed.

      Wearability.
The powder lasted longer than cheaper powders I have used, and I did not feel the need to reapply as often as I would normally. I wore the powder on a snowy day and it held out quite well, I also wore the powder on a big night out and it lasted from about 8pm-3am before I felt I needed to reapply, which is rather impressive.

      Removal.
I had no trouble removing with cleanser or warm soapy water.

      Use If.
You can afford this powder which I feel will run out quite quickly. You have oily skin, that is only slightly blemished, and that doesn't need a lot of coverage.

      Avoid.
If you have dry skin, I had a little on the end of my nose and despite moisturising the powder highlighted this massively.

      Summing Up.
The sales experience really put me off, if you decide to try this powder ask the assistant to try some on you and explain the technique properly, if it doesn't look right stand your ground- it is a sales driven store, don't be baffled by rubbish like 'all natural'- The fact is the powder is quite good, judge on the way it looks on you, not on the rubbish the sales assistant spouts.
