I got this mascara as part of a birthday present from my mate and couldn't wait to try it because she reckoned it was the best mascara she has used.

Its quite a nice one but I wouldn't say its anywhere near the best one in MY make up bag so my mate can't have used as many different mascaras as me.

I love the purple and black tube because it looks great in my make up bag and even though its not a brill mascara it does the job it's just that it doesn't do anything special even though it says it will make my eye lashes look longer and thicker.

It's a very deep black mascara so it does give me the heavily made up look I like to wear sometimes and the mascara is a bit glossy so it gives me a sooty look when I apply it with thick black eyeliner.

It's a bit hard to apply neatly so you need to make sure you leave loads of time for putting your mascara on and that's because the brush is so bristly that if you try and do it quick you'll end up with black bristle marks on your eyelids and under your eyes and because this is waterproof it's hard to get the marks off without ruining the rest of your make up.

With this mascara the first coat goes on lovely but when I come to apply a second one it clumped really bad and made a right mess of my eye lashes. The trick is to allow it to dry completely then use an eye lash comb before putting the next coat on but then you are taking more and more time just to put mascara on when it should be a 2 minutes job any other time.

Any more than 2 coats looks stupid because it gives volume to my eye lashes but only because the mascara is so clumpy that the clumps make my eyelashes look thicker and that looks stupid like I am some sort of 11 year old just learning how to put make up on.

Its hard to get off completely even with eye make up remover and impossible to get off with water because it just won't budge at all. I use Boots eye make up remover and that works well with everything but even that struggles with this one because its so tough.

Summary: Its An OK Mascara But Not All Its Made Out To Be
