I first saw a recommendation for Barry M Nail Effects on a fashion blog, I loved the way the black colour looked and the effects of the cracking on her nails. I just had to try it, especially as recently my nails have grown and look so healthy, just needed some unique nail polish to completely show off my nails!

The product is in a clear glass jar, which is square and the jar contains 10ml of the Nail Effects nail polish. The top of the nail polish is black, which has gold writing which says "instant nail effects" around the bottom of the top, above in a crackling design also in gold, which looks nice and later you'll find out the reason for the design! On the glass container, it says "Barry M Nail Paint". The Nail Effects nail polish comes in 4 colours: Black Magic, Pink Fizz, Blue Print and White Frost. I am reviewing the Pink Fizz shade.

Applying the product is very different from other nail polishes, as you put your base colour on first, I had a light green colour as my base, and I would choose a colour that you would want to wear with the Nail Effect colour as you will get both colours on your nails. Make sure your base colour is applied quite thinly, otherwise it would take to long to dry. Once the base colour is completely dry, then apply the Nail Effects over the base colour, just apply like other nail polishes. If you want large areas of the Nail effects and slight cracks, apply a thick layer of the Nail Effects, if you want smaller and more cracks, apply a thin area of the Nail Effects.

I personally perfer the nails to have more cracks, but also I had such fun experimenting with layers to find out which one I perfered! The cracks begin appearing after around 30 seconds. I found applying the Barry M Nail Effects was really easy, the polish was just perfect for applying, as it wasn't too liquid like, but with one application, the nail was completely covered. Although different from other nail polishes, the Nail Effects smell very similar to normal nail polishes, so be aware it stinks! To remove the Nail Effects, you can just remove quite easily by using any normal nail polish remover, and comes off quickly and easily.

The effects of wearing the Barry M Nail Effects was obvious, I got loads of comments about how good my nails look! Most people loved the crack effects, and I thought the effects looked very professional, almost like I got Nail art done at a salon. And the Nail Effects colour was really gorgeous, like a light pink, but it went really well with the green, and when applied the pink looked very similar to the colour in the jar, which was a great bonus, as I though the colour would be a lighter colour then stated. Also I've seen many people wearing the Black Magic colour, it looks amazing, the black is looks really nice, but really brings out the other colours under the black. Defiantly my next colour! The cracks of the Nail Effects were very different to other nail polishes, as although the cracks are obvious, they look very purposeful, so it doesn't look as though your nail polish is chipping off. Also the Nail Effects lasts a very long time, I've had it on over 2 weeks, and its not even faded! Such value for money!

I would highly recommend Barry M's Instant Nail Effects to everyone, it really is a great product, as it causes nails to become very unique, as you can't get the cracks looking the same, but also makes your nails different from most other nails! Also the Nail Effects lasts ages and looks so professional, just everything you'd expect from nail polishes, but at such an amazing price! Now I must have all four colours!
