I bought this crackle nail polish after seeing it on a friend. I paid £3.99 for it from Superdrug. I bought the black shade and used it with a hot pink Barry M nail polish.

The nail polish is easy to use. You simply apply a layer of ordinary nail polish (bright colours work better as they show up more) and after that layer has dried you then apply a layer of this. After around a minute or so the crackle effect starts to take place. This means that the black nail polish (the crackle one) separates, leaving a crackle effect on your nails.

I do find the nail polish to be quite thick and gloopy in consistency and it has a strong odour. However, it is easy to use and pretty cheap compared to standard nail art. Plus you can pick and mix the colours to create your own unique look. I love the fact that it really is so easy to use and the effects are really long lasting too.

I would say that the effect lasts for around four to five days before the polish starts to chip and it becomes a little untidy. I did try topping it up once but this ruins the effect so I just wipe the whole thing off and start fresh. The crackle effect is really eye catching and I hope they don't discontinue this range as I hope to try some more of the shades in the future.
