As my daughter can't wear nail polish for school - only at weekends she tends to have a big collection so I thought I would help her out and use them for her ;) I applied one coat and let it dry and then applied another coat but immediatly held the magnetic strip over my nail for about 10 seconds (it says 5 seconds on the bottle but leave it a little longer and it looks a little better I think). I then did this for all my nails and the look was amazing, I have been told by my daughter...more

Barry M Magnetic Nail Polish: Funky effects and not as complicated as it sounds (454 words)

Rating:

I absolutely adore Barry M nail varnishes. They are my favourite brand of nail paint at the minute and I love all the effects that you can do with them and of course their reasonable price doesn't hurt either. The magnetic varnish is a little bit strange and unusual but actually works quite well. Each nail varnish has a magnet built in to the lid and what you do is paint your nails with the varnish then hover the magnet over the varnish to create shapes and designs. It sounds more complicated than it actually is as when you are actually doing it, it is really easy and stress free. The only thing that takes a little getting used to is that you ...  Read the complete review

The effects it gives it a pattern on the nail by using the polish along with the built in magnet in the lid. ~ Price & Availability ~ I bought this nail polish recently from my local Superdrug store, they are currently included in a 3 for 2 offer and are priced at £4.99 each. Barry M Magnetic Nail Polish: Barry M magnetic magic! (700 words)
by - written on 17/09/12 (Very useful, 40 readings)

This is the first review I have written in months, and it took me just seconds to decide my first one would have to be about the Barry M magnetic nail varnishes, as since purchasing a bottle mid summer I have raved about them to anyone who will listen and show my nails off all the time! As a fan of the Barry M facebook page I had seen these varnishes advertised a lot, but was not sure how they worked and assumed a lot went in to creating the effect. While browsing the make up stands in Superdrug, I saw they just looked like a normal bottle, and decided to give it a go. The bottle cot me £4.99, but I have been told they are very often on offer for 2 bottles for ...  Read the complete review

Polishing with Magnets!! (533 words)
by - written on 31/07/12 (Very useful, 51 readings)
Rating:

I have a massive collection of nail polishes which just keeps getting bigger and bigger. My latest addition to the collection was the Barry M Magnetic Nail Polish. I'd seen one of my friend's nails looking pretty and this is what she was wearing so I thought I'd better get one of my own. What does it do? Apart from making your nails look pretty and colourful like a normal nail polish, it makes an unusual and eye catching pattern on your nails. There are metallic particles in the polish and a magnet in the lid of the polish and they work together to create a pattern. Available Shades The product comes in four different shades. I bought ...  Read the complete review

Barry M Magnetic Nail Polish: Salon nails at a snip (455 words)

I purchased this as another stocking filler for my eldest daughter along with several other beauty items which I put together in a little gift box for her. I paid £4.99 from boots but at the time of purchase there was an offer three for the price of two so I also bought the dark silver magnetic and another glittery non magnetic one too. It is in the standard square shaped Barry m bottle and has a square lid which removes from the brush holder (unless I broke it!) and this has the magnetic strip attached to it. It also has a little bit of plastic in a curved shape which is what you balance on your finger whilst waiting for the magnet to do its ...  Read the complete review
