can't put it's colour where it's fingernail is! (Barry M Nail Paint)

In theory Barry M should be my absolute favorite make up line. I'm a very outgoing gal who adores looking bright and glittery. But unfortunatly their nail varnishes are one of the reasons I don't own everything in the collection!

I was very disappointed with this product. The range of colours is amazing and I had a really hard time narrowing down which to buy. But this is probably the worst nail varnish I've ever tried. The first time I ignored the instructions to use a base and top coat. I never usually bother with these and thought that for the price the quality should be good enough that I didn't need it.

The first problem was that the colour is very pale if you just use one coat. You need maybe 3 coats before they look the colour of the bottle. And after a few hours it had nearly all chipped off.

So then I bought a top and bottom coat especially. It didn't really make any difference - it still chipped off far faster than any other nailvarnish I've owned, including very cheap ones.

Having said all that I LOVE the red glitter varnish I own. It isn't any good on its own but if you apply it over a coat of red nail varnish (from a different range!) it look very striking and though it does chip quickly I think it's worth it for bright red glittering Dorothy nails!

Summary: good for a 1 off night out but not for every day use
