Barry M Nail Paint
Advantages: Everything, amazing quality and an amazing range
I love painting my nails it is my favorite thing to do when I'm bored, or when I'm procrastinating and should be doing uni work and I don't think anything makes you look more classy than well painted finger and toe nails. There also the ideal way to splash colour into any outfit.
You receive 10mls of varnish in a clear glass square bottle which has on one side the bar code, another side is plain, the front says "Nail Paint by Barry M, and the website address" and the back simply says "Shake well. Keep from heat. Apply basecoat before use" and the address. The number and name of the colour are printed on the bottom. The black screw on lid is easy to use the brush aids the application process. The bottles are in no means fancy but look smart and give you all the necessary product information. Doing a little bit of research Barry M currently have 56 different varieties of nail paint (not including numerous effect varnishes). 56!!!!! I think this point really does need emphasising 56!!! This is a huge variety to choose from (although some of the colours appear a bit similar). I think the huge variety of colours is one of the things that makes Barry M nail paint my favorite nail varnish. The names of the varnishes are all very to the point for example raspberry, cyan blue and block orange you can visualise the colour from the name without seeing it which I think is a definite plus when you buy the product online I hate deceptive product names with a passion.
...My Experience Using the Product...
The other thing that makes this product by far my favorite is the quality. The colours not only look amazing in the bottle they also look amazing on your nails. The colour is strong and vibrant and 2 coats are all you need for a really vibrant colour.
Honestly I don't bother applying a base coat to my nails and just apply two thin layers of the product. The brush glides easily over the nail and the nail varnish is the perfect consistency; it's neither gloopy or too runny. It goes on smoothly leaving a really good finish that's shiny and glossy. The nail varnish is touch dry within a few minutes but I always try to avoid doing anything for about 15 minutes afterwards just in case. When I've applied a top coat this has helped the varnish last longer but usually I don't bother.
The nail varnish is hard wearing and doesn't chip easily it usually lasts a 3 or 4 days before I even begin to notice small chips and I usually wear the product for about a week before taking it off and reapplying (I'm not a fan of touch ups but if you are the product could easily last longer).
Removing the nail varnish I haven't had any problems with it staining my nails and I own 6 different nail paints plus a few of the effects paints but I do know other people who have found there nails stained for a few days. This nail varnish removes from the nails very easily even with cheap remover it comes off really well. Another good thing about the product is that the paint whilst staying firmly put on your nails comes off the skin easily with hot soapy water. Meaning you don't have to use nail varnish remover to get it off your skin and then have the awkward moment when you identically remove some off of the nail as well.
A word of warning I did once decide it was a great idea to do my nails whilst sunbathing on a very hot day and found that the nail varnish dried too quickly for me to apply it well but this was an exceptionally hot day.
...Value For Money...
The Barry M nail paint costs £2.99 a bottle which isn't the cheapest nail varnish on the market but is far from being the most expensive and in my opinion for the quality of the product an absolute bargain I haven't yet run out of a bottle, but obviously I don't wear the same varnish all the time, and I've been using Barry M for over a year. I managed to buy several bottles when they were on offer at 3 for 2 in boots sometime ago so it's definitely worth stocking up when you can find them on offer and they are also often up for sale on ebay.
Summary: A perfect nail varnish
