Advantages: Looks good! Price!
Disadvantages: None
Lovely colours - recently used a lovely red - goes well with other different reds (clothes)
Easy to apply
Long brush - easy to apply
I quite like wearing nail varnish. I feel really bare without it. Whilst I like to try different colours, I do tend to have a 'staple' colour which is red nail varnish. I recently tried a red nail varnish from the Barry M range. I bought mine from Boots - I can't remember how much I paid, but I know that it was less than £2 as I remember thinking what a bargain. It is also available in other places such as Superdrug.
The varnish comes in a square glass bottle; you can see the red nail varnish inside the bottle. I have to say it does look very attractive on my dressing table.
The nail varnish is easy to apply. It does say on the bottle that you should apply a base coat first, and then apply this nail varnish. Although, I have never used this nail varnish and without doing this, I still find that the nail varnish is great.
I usually apply around 3 strokes of nail varnish to each nail - this is plenty and is enough to cover the nail, yet not too much that there is too much nail which 'spreads uneven' leaving bumps. I like the brush as it is quite long meaning that it is easy to apply and gives you great control.
I have to say, the nail varnish looks great - it makes my nails look quite professional. I love the colour red too - as it's bright and quite striking and goes with most colours (clothes etc.
I find that the nail varnish does chip after a couple of days, but I think it depends on what I have been doing; for example if I have been typing a lot then the ends do tend to chip a little - I simply resolve this problem by painting a tiny little bit of nail varnish over the chipped area and hey presto I'm good to go again!
Getting the nail varnish off is fairly easy. I use a 'Cutex' nail varnish remover and it is simple and comes off easily and quickly.
All in all, I would definitely recommend this nail varnish. I can't wait to try the rest of the colours in the range.
