Advantages: make lips full and shiny, great colours, cheap, non-sticky

Disadvantages: maybe the packaging but you coudn't ask for more considering the price

First Impressions
Barry M is a fab brand, known as the 'most colourful name in cosmetics'. Their vast array of products include glitter eye shadows and bold coloured lipsticks, like orange and purple! The brand is very well-priced, and has celebrity fans including Christina Aguleria. The colours are so eye-catchcng you can't help but be drawn towards their stand. As a first-time Barry M purchase, I decided to play it safe and buy a new lipgloss.

Packaging
The packaging is quite basic; a simple transparent tube with a gold stripe at the top, and gold writing on. The opening of the tube has a little hole in which allows the gloss to come out, and is applied directly to the lips.

The Hype
'A generously glossy and flavoured Lip Gloss in a non stick formulation'. These Barry M lipglosses also won the 'Grazia' magazine award for the 'Most Wearable Lipgloss'.

Colours
The lipgloss comes in 12 wearable but stunning colours including;
Pink Sparkle, Pale Strawberry Shimmer, Matt Pink, Iridescent Violet Glitter, Hint of Red, Flamingo Pink, Candy Pink and Passion Pink.

Price
The Barry M range is available at Boots and Superdrug, and the lipgloss is just £3.95. I think this is very reasonable, particularly considering the performance of the product.

Performance
As a cheap gloss, I didn't expect them to be quite so brilliant! I chose the 'Pale Strawberry Shimmer' shade; a beautiful pale pink colour which was glittery (but not in a tacky way!) and shiny. My lips looked full and really sparkly. The formula wasn't gloopy or sticky, and applied very well. I wasn't overly keen on the packaging (it was a little basic and not particularly sophisticated), but then again it's not the packaging you're wearing so this doesn't really matter. I loved this lip gloss; there is a great variety of shades to suit every skin tone, they last ages and they make lips look super-shiny!

Summary: At such an affordable price you can afford to buy more of these fab little glosses!
