Advantages: Does what it says on the tin!
Disadvantages: Gloopy testers :(
So, I have known that Barry M products have been out for a few years now and never really took much notice, until I wass going to a 21st birthday party and wanted a bit of glitzy gloss to wear there. As I was scouting the brands and saw all of the prices of sparkly lip glosses for around £8 to £15!! I needed a bit of a cheaper one though and so whilst scouting through the Barry M products I saw there gorgeous range of lip glosses. They were all around £3-£4, which I thought was a very good price. The thing that I found annoying was that they are all squeezed out and gloopy all around them, so you couldn't really get an idea of the colour.
The product:
Well, the product is exactly what is says, a Super Shiny lip gloss with high shine. It is one of the ones that have the kind of plastic apply-ers which is fixed to the tube and not in the lid and therefore the lid removes nice and easy and you can just place the lid down. This means that you don't have to hold both of them at the same time.
The packaging:
The packaging is plastic with gold Barry M writing on it and the shade, colour, etc. The plastic is flexible enough to easily squeeze out the gloss, but being sturdy enough so that it won't suddenly pop open and make a mess in your bag or make up purse! The lid is of a harder plastic, which is sturdy and solid.
The colour range:
There is a wide colour range avaliable, I own 3 of these, them being the limited edition one. This is the one that is green but once applied changes to the pigments of your skin to even out your skin tone and turns pink. I also have a clear one and a pink glittery one. The colour range has one to suit most people, whether you want a glittery one, clear one, coloured, etc.
The price range:
The price is between £3-£4, which I think is a very reasonable price for a gloss that works very well!
Avaliability:
This product is avaliable in most good cosmetic suppliers, including Boots and Superdrug. As I say on all of my cosmetic reviews is that I always check Boots first as they normally always have offers on the products I like to buy and you can also collect your Boots Advantage Card points.
My experience:
My experience with this product has been overall great!
Although on first applying it does feel a little sticky and can make your lips feel gloopy, but after a few seconds you don't feel the same stickiness. To apply it is very easy and I normally use the 'sweeping' motion over my lips and you only need a little bit to cover your lips which means it'll last longer!
I have used better brushes, but this one just has a small hole on top of the slanted plastic which is used to apply, so this isn't brilliant, as I would prefer to use the 'wand' style brushes, but some people prefer these as you can just pop down the lid.
Overall I think it is a great product-just wish they would clean up the testers in shops so you can test on your hand before purchasing to see what colour it is!
Summary: Great, buy it!
